The Cheney presidency By Robert Kuttner | August 26, 2006 GEORGE W. BUSH has been faulted in some quarters for taking an extended vacation while the Middle East festers. It doesn't much matter; the man running the country is Vice President Dick Cheney. Alerts When historians look back on the multiple assaults on our constitutional system of government in this era, Cheney's unprecedented role will come in for overdue notice. Cheney's shotgun mishap, when he accidentally sprayed his host with birdshot, has gotten more media attention than has his ...p>

I'm old enough to remember a time when a "made in Japan" label on a product was tantamount to stating in bold letters that the product inside was garbage. In a similar fashion, the Robert Kuttner label on an article is tantamount to stating in bold letters that the article's content is garbage. Over time, through innovation, diligent and painstaking effort, and attention to detail, the Japanese have largely overcome their failings in manufacturing. I do not hold out much hope that Robert Kuttner has the strength of character, intelligence, or will do the same with his writing...

As coined, the term for these so called journalists is "Mediacrat."

I thought it was "Mediacrap."

Hey, Cheney has been pretty bored since he retired from business. He needs to get some time in on running things while not shooting his best friend. Several years ago he bought the NRA, has controlling interest in Remington, Browning and Ithaca. Several weeks ago, his minions sabataged the BP pipeline in Alaska to drive up fuel prices in order to kill women and children this winter. The $6.9 million he gave to charity is from the billions he skimmed as CEO of Halliburton. There is nothing about Cheney that would surprise me.

I posted this to show just how ridiculous the lefties are. For a party that has all but assumed power this piece reeks of fear and desperation to me.

Really, what's next, fingering Gerry Ford as the "real" president because the VP and SOD worked for him?

"There is nothing about Cheney that would surprise me."

So you know about the attack on Iraq to steal the oil, his dining on red meat and how when he gets bored he goes into old growth forests and cuts down trees that he uses to set forest fires in Blue States?

These people really are out of control. What's funny is that as often as the GOP shoots itself in the foot, the Commucrats are not going to win the congress.

In fact I really think they may loose a few seats between the two chambers.

Absolutely!

He's an incestuous pedophile, his wife is the madame of the largest string of prostitution houses in Wyoming. His daughter marches regularly in gay and lesbian parades, and his best friends from Halliburton run the Russian Jewish mafia.

BTW, did you know that Halliburton had a joint venture with Loral in selling government research secrets to the Chinese. Though Clinton was implicated, it was Cheney running the show behind the curtain.

Mostly a BS piece. One thing is certain. Dick Cheney is the "enforcer". His appointment as VP was a crucial factor in my original support for GWBush back in 1999. Whatever the MSM may say about the VPOTUS, Cheney remains a critical part of the Bush administration. Too bad his health will stop him from running for Prez in 2008. He'd get most conservatives vote, including mine.

You got it! I've been saying forever that the dems are already hyperventilating about even the thought of Cheney running for President.

This is just more of the same attack they have been doing for the last 6 years.

...Ann Coulter said she hopes George W. is impeached, so we'll get a president who's a real conservative!

I like Coulter, but it's good to be reminded why I don't love her. Thanks!

I haven't given it much thought, but it sure would be invigorating if Cheney decided to run in 2008. Not only would the 'rats go completely and irrevocably incontinent, the conservative base would be enlivened like nothing since the halcyon days of Ronaldus Magnus.</p>

I agree! And you know something, I don't mind the idea of a co-presidency, especially with VP Cheney.

Which brings me to this point:

At least Dick Cheney was elected, HILLARY WAS NOT!!!!!!
