Novak does everything he can to depress GOP turnout. But it's not gonna work.

Can anyone name a few things this administration has done for CONSERVATIVES lately? Bush is running out the clock like his old man. We seem to do better out of power anyway.

One thing is certain...the GOP won't gain any House seats. If the GOP loses 7-8 seats, then I'll consider it a successful election. On the Senate side, if the GOP loses only 1 or 2 seats, I'll consider that a success.

I don't agree with Novak, but I think it's too early for much accurate forecasting -- politically, there's just too much time -- events could still arise that could drastically affect the vote.

For example, if there is a major attack or even a major security breach here in the U.S. or even in Britain, it could definitly be a reminder to affect the vote in our favor. I think the arrests in Britain recently may be favorable in our direction to the November vote.

Another factor in our favor -- when it comes time to pull that lever in the porivacy of the voting both, if one is concerned at all about the safety of ones family in the age of Terrorism, what have the Dims offered? Nothing! As Mark Steyn said, they haven't even bought a ticket to the War on Terror ...

I'm not happy with the Republican leadership in congress but look at the alternative. The democrats answer to the war on terror is to get out of Iraq. That is not going over at all in middle America. They know that just killing Ben Laden is not going to stop the terrorist attacks on us. They are smart enough to know that winning the war is going to take a major effort in the Middle East so why not have our base in Iraq.

The Democrats have made a huge mistake by not getting involved in fighting this war, instead of just bad mouthing Bush.

Closer results? The last two generic Congressional polls showed GOP -2 and dead even results.

The party leaders always have to claim things like that. It's the pundits and pollsters whose results are more interesting, and who people actually give some credit to during the campaign. Pelosi and Reid today are talking about Democrats winning in races that even Novak, with his outdated perspective, would say are hopeless for the Democrats.

Pundits and pollsters like Larry Sabato, John Zogby and Bob Novak? ROTFL!

I'll take Michael Barone any day. Him I actually pay attention to.

Iowa Electronic Markets are driven only by money.

No emotion.
No bias.
No spin.
Only the profit motive.
Futures contracts on the US House of Representatives in 2006.

They have been a better predictor than any poll.

"Republicans Hold House" has just pulled ahead. 47.5%
"Republicans Lose House" is at 44%
"Republicans Gain Seats" is at 8.5%

Bob Novack was on Fox earlier today saying we need to negotiate with Iran and Syria. I was stunned. What's happened to him?
