"My friend Mary and I are headed to Lebanon," she tells me. I nearly dropped my tongs. I try to avoid war zones, as a rule. Gretchen heads into them. She said they've already traveled to the Gaza Strip, but they're going back to help in civilian aid efforts. Crawford must be like a relaxing trip to the spa for those two.Complete loons. So convinced of their own superiority and self-importance they really don't think they can be killed.

"...Also on dish duty was Gretchen, a tall blond woman from Los Angeles wearing a black, white, green and red Palestinian scarf. Crawford wasn't the first or even the last stop on her crusade for peace. "My friend Mary and I are headed to Lebanon," she tells me. I nearly dropped my tongs. I try to avoid war zones, as a rule. Hope they stay out of the way of those bulldozers over there.
I actually read the article. What a steaming pantload waste of electrons.

This is so sad...That cow Sheehan and her group of hobo's should be driven out of Crawford..I am really surprised that the town people would put up with that circus..At one time it was such a nice clean little town..bringing the hippie groups in from all around the country I might add bused in and given money..Someone should donate money to reroute that highway in front of the hobo site..put a detour sign up saying take this road your life might be in danger if you go by that camp down there..Then the group would not have anyone they could show off in front of..

Hmmmm. Maybe I'll google Hadi Jawad.
To: capt. norm
Well, he's Iraqi. I believe he's a Sunni so he could have been from the priviledged class that lost power with Saddam. No surprise that he hates Israel and wrote
this article for the Jordan Times which was featured on Al-Jazeera.
I wonder if this is the same guy the treasury dept. has listed as a
Specially Designated National.

Glad to see Cindy is rubbing elbows with the Pro-Saddam Baathist Muslims.

I've shed more tears over Meredith Grey's relationship with Dr. McDreamy than I have over the fact that thousands have died overseas. Does that make me a bad person? As always on the left, "it's all about me!"

Yes, not really that good nowadays, but sometimes they have good expose articles. It's usually found free at many restaurants around the DFW area.
Current Mayor Laura Miller used to be one of the best writers the Observer had years ago!
