After viewing the website for "Evangelicals for Mitt", one can only conclude that there are FIVE evangelicals for Mitt -

Dawn Meling
Matt Gabler
Nancy French

- who write the blog. Nowhere on the site do they say a word about themselves as to what kind of "evangelicals" they are. Nada.

One can only conclude that these five whatevers recognize that evangelicals will have a hard time voting for someone who is a mormon and believes in a different Christ and a different way of salvation than they do themselves. Because of this - and I suspect in coordination with mitt - they are trying to head this off at they pass.

I for one, will go fishing that day if the republican leadership puts mitt forward as our candidate.

I'm an evangelical, and I'd have no real problem voting for him. At least I'd have no problem because he's a Mormon.
I vote on the candidate stand on the issues, and can the candidate win. As for other evangelicals, I can't really stop them from being silly. I can and will take them to task if they insist on doing and saying silly thing.
