A new poll to freep. This one doesn't usually get hit by Freepers and they do occasionally report on poll results on the local news.
Do you think 1st Lt. Ehren Watada should face a court martial for refusing to go to Iraq?
Watada, like his father, is a coward but at least his father joined the peace corps. Young Watada is an embarassment and a disgrace to all from Hawaii who have served and are now serving the country that gave them their freedom and liberty.
the man should go where he's ordered..
He's a slap in the face to all the military here on Oahu, many of whom have deployed in the past couple of months.
I thought that's how the military worked....
FRmail me or dynachrome if you want to be added or removed from the Freep this Poll! Ping list. And be sure to ping us to any polls that need Freepin', if we miss them.
Thanks for passing it along!

Exactly. He joined, swore an oath and collects a paycheck every two weeks that is overpayment for sitting on his ass doing nothing but inadequate for war. That's just the way it is. That's what he chose to do.
If he's NOT court-martialed every pinko pansy that decides they don't want to fulfill their promise to America will do the same. Fullest extent, folks, and nothing less.

done!
Funny, but the oath I took in 1967 didn't say anything about international law or the UN..
"...support and defend the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic. To obey the orders of my Commander in Chief and the officers appointed above me"...
or something like that...
Not a damn syllable was devoted to international law!
They had some retired colonel (female) supporting him on one of the FNN shows earlier this afternoon. Someone else had his father on the phone. Positively nauseating. Additionally, there were protestors by Ft. Shafter this afternoon with signs aimed at soldiers coming on and off post to the effect of "Your Boss Tortures Prisoners." My husband gave them the appropriate salute for such occasions.
