This is dejau vu. Same thing happened to some girl classmates when we were in seventh grade.

One was shot and paralysed from the waste down. Last I knew she used modified crutches to sort of "walk." She was a sweet person before and remained so afterwords.

Prayers go out for that young girl. I hope she pulls through without any permanent damage. As for him, IF they were on his property and he feared for his life, that would be one thing, but to shoot at their car when they came around the block the second time was inexcusable. They couldn't have looked that threatening, and had he taken time to look, he would have seen that they were just silly high school girls. I haven't got a lot of sympathy for him. It's idiots like him who make it hard on us responsible gun owners.

As a texan it is a little embarassing to listen to Spktyr's fearful, defense of this nut case. If nothing else there is no defense for shooting wild horizontal shots out into the community with no specific target in mind.
