I found it and read it. Doesn't change my impression at all. The letter speaks of "classrooms." I must assume that they are not located in the church itself. I must also assume that this woman taught in one of the classrooms. So all of the comments on this thread up to this point on this thread about this preacher not allowing this woman to teach in church are unmitigated BS.

The simple fact is that the letter does nothing to clear-up the "controversy."

Well, "classrooms" are in churches (bible study obviously), public and private schools, businesses and pretty much any room designated to "teach" something. He is speaking of her "teaching" MEN scripture IN HIS church, following his position on scripture.

Actually, his position was solidified by her reaction to the whole situation. Taking it public, bringing harm to the church. Looking for wiggle room in scripture always leaves the person bobbing when they should have weaved!

The letter makes it quite clear that the primary reason the woman was dumped so unceremoneously was because she ran to the papers when she disagreed with the Pastor instead of discussing the issue within the Church.

One MIGHT grant her cause if she had exhausted the Church mediation before going to the papers, but the letter makes it clear that she did not do so.

In other words, the press made it a feminist issue. The Pastor respected this woman too much to smear her in the press. You bought the MSM POV hook, line, and sinker.

Shalom.
