CNN Transcripts ^ | August 23, 2006 | Glenn Beck

Posted on 08/23/2006 6:31:50 PM PDT by Dane

Mike Hethmon, he is with the Immigration Reform Law Institute. He`s one of the groups backing the California lawsuit.

Mike, thank you for doing this. I`ve been saying for a long time, "Choke these companies to death." Give me the lawsuit in a nutshell and the chances of it actually winning.

They had both lost their jobs to illegals.

And according to Dane, there should be absolutely no negative repercussions to the employers who hired the illegals in place of your friends.

Dane, what would you do if someone broke into your home? Would you let him stay in your home in spite of the fact that he broke in? Or would you tell him that this is YOUR home, and that he is not welcome unless he is invited or given a "pass" to enter?

Would you call this person a "burglar"? Or would you simply call him an "uninvited guest" and throw out the Dane Welcome Wagon?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Or how about the 15 emergency care clinics in CA that have had to close because of the mandated aid for illegals, after the illegals cannot pay their hospitals bills? The same has occured in AZ. How is that a good thing for America?

Now you see that is a silly analogy, there is a big difference between someone's private dwelling and a business owner who risks his capital everyday trying to put out a good service or good.

Also your analogy can be turned around. If you owned a business would you appreciate someone barging in and telling who you can and cannot hire?

Hmm, nothing about the trial lawyers who are the real reason the health care system is a mess.

Any employer who knowingly hires an illegal alien should be subject to the fullest extent of the penalties prescribed by law and at equity.

Every illegal I know, and I do know quite a few, are paid in cash and most $$$ is sent to their families in Mexico. No taxes are involved. Social Security taxes are also not paid by most illegals, but the dumb gummint is paying some illegals SS bennies because they show a fake SS card and get away with it.

I'm not surprised at you calling that a "silly analogy". I expected it and this is why. You do not consider the United States of America your home.

You say that if I was a business owner, I wouldn't appreciate someone telling me who I can or cannot hire? Wrong. I do not have a problem at all with the FACT that WE are NOT allowed to HIRE ILLEGAL ALIENS. I wouldn't want the government to tell me that I couldn't hire a U.S. citizen because they were white, black or orange. But if I was a daycare owner, I certainly wouldn't fight them if they told me that I couldn't hire a known PEDOPHILE to care for the children.

Dane, you simple are void of commonsense and the word, "illegal", throws you into a tailspin.

Huh so you wouldn't hire the best person for the job and if you were a day care owner I hope that you would have the common sense not to hire a pedophile, or do you need the govt. to tell you that.

Actually, it is an excellent analogy when it comes to the people you have no problem putting out of business. Most of the independent farmers and contractors live at their place of business. And have been risking their capital everyday to put out goods or services.

Also your analogy can be turned around. If you owned a business would you appreciate someone barging in and telling who you can and cannot hire?

The government has been doing it for years.............and it includes NOT hiring people who are in this country illegally.

What part of the word ILLEGAL do you not understand?????????

Why do you hire them?

The question, Dane, is why do you DEFEND those that hire them?

No, I wouldn't hire someone who was an ILLEGAL alien. And no, I don't need the government to tell me not to hire a pedophile. But, as you clearly prove, there are IDIOTS who do need to be told certain things.

Also, you're not off the hook, Dane. Answer my previous question. If a person broke into your home, would you allow them to stay? Or would you tell them to leave? If so, why?

Aug. 2, 2006 Illegal Alien Says Illegals Will Run US in 20 Years Dane, is this you? "An illegal alien who appeared in on CBS's Sunday Morning advised that the illegals will run the US in 20 years. Interviewed by CBS' Martha Teichner, illegal immigrant Alex Vega was said to be defiant in his claim. Vega told Teichner: "In 20 years, we are going to run the country. Right now we're running the cities. So little by little, we're running the show. Little by little. So this sleeping giant [illegal population] is already awakened."

I'm going to have to pick this up later.......much later.

Them "buying into the gay agenda" or not, I'll be out of the house in less than 8 hours headed for WalMart for the annual back-to-school shopping expedition. Since the closest WalMart to me is in Maryland, I'm taking advantage of their sales-tax-free shopping days, instead of having taken advantage of Virginia's 2 weeks ago. I have to drive 100 miles for a decent department store in VA, it's only 15 miles into Maryland........and with the price of gas????

And so no one gets the impression that I am inconsistent..........I applauded the nailing of the subs WM contracted that used illegals.....and the fact that WM got nailed as well, maybe will open some eyes to the fact illegal is illegal, and more businesses will start being a bit more careful about the subcontractors they contract with.
