No they are no soft and squishy or marshmallowy. They are unique especially the real ones which from the advert this sounds like the ones I had as a child.

It is just a candy that when you put it in your mouth sort of disintegrates and you are just left with powder almost. A cheap version of Edinburgh rock if you have ever had that.

That sounds exactly like the candy "peanuts" I am thinking of. It is difficult to describe them.

No, I've never had Edinburgh rock, that I know of.
