If you're going to be working at the Pentagon, you will be eating lunch at the Pentagon. You can't go anywhere from there unless you take a bus or the subway, and that'd be a long lunch hour.

Gov't cafeterias aren't great - maybe you should start thinking about brown bags.

Maybe they have a subsidized canteen where you can get fairly cheap sandwiches or rolls etc at lunch time.
