I was wondering the same thing. I didn't know he was interested in radio hosting. I've heard him as a guest on several radio programs.

B-1 Bob has subbed for Rush, I believe - I know he had his own show for a time. He, uh, rambles. Cannot seem to otganize his thinking It's called "lack of show prep".

Yeah, and this means I'll have to listen to a day Rush doesn't host.
Steyn, Barone..there are a few guys like that that are a cut above. I am kind of surprised Steyn hasn't done so before now, given his segments with Hewitt.

Steyn will be awesome, thanks for the alert I'll be sure to tune in ( not that I don't already but I'll make time to listen for more than the half hour I have to listen on most days.)

I know Steyn has been a guest on radio before but I don't know if he's ever hosted. He's certainly bright and witty. I enjoy most of his political columns. It's a little different, though, when you are hosting a show as opposed to being a guest.
Best EIB guest host to date: much depends on taste here but I'd go with Tony Snow.
Worst EIB guest host to date: Chris Matthews (yes, it really happened - what was Rush thinking?).

If you haven't yet, Read Mark Steyn speech at Hillsdale college about the UN.
(Hillsdale.edu).
He positively lacerates them.
Good stuff.

I've heard Mark on the radio as a regular contributor to the Hugh Hewitt show, and he's always spot on target, and every bit as clever 'live' as he is on paper. Hosting a show is a bit different, but I'm quite sure that he's up to the task, and I won't miss it...

Good choice. Otherwise you might find yourself in a blizzard.

Check in the Levin Lounge (under FR "talk radio") at 6PM ET daily. There are lots of internet streams noted there.
Also marklevinfan.com has a growing list of radio stations.
Levin may be closer than you think!

Awesome. Steyn's great on Hugh Hewitt.
I'll be driving up to Flagstaff tomorrow, so I'll have lots of uninterrupted listening time.
Phoenix talk radio host Barry Young will be upset that there's yet another Rush substitute. Barry has Rush Substitute Envy Syndrome -- he's annoyed that Clear Channel can't get him a gig on Rush's show.

www.replayradio.com. Download the program (I think you can use it for a trial period), and with it you can record any program that is streamed on the internet. I record all of Rush's shows, and listen to them when I am jogging, and (sorry Rush) I can do it without joining the Rush web site.

Thanks for the heads up! Sometimes when Rush is away I don't even bother to tune in but I'll be listening tomorrow.
Hopefully, Steyn is as quick-witted and intelligent on air as he is in print.
I've seen him on C-SPAN and he's very impressive.

I'll listen but I just hate it when Rush is gone. Anymore Rushbo is gone more than he's there ... he's fast becoming the Johnny Carson of conservative talk radio. Also find it amusing when he talks about major events occurring anytime he takes time off ... considering the ever increasing frequency that's hardly unusual, just law of averages.
