If our economy can take a hit like 9/11 and survive, why can't it take a "hit" from reducing the number of illegal aliens coming into the USA?
He is correct in his belief that this new wave of immigrants will change the political landscape like nothing before it.
After amnesty and we have millions of new voters, the conservative movement will become a distant memory.

What I heard from Pat last night on H&C was amazing. He actually made sense. I have a bruise from pinching myself to make sure I was not dreaming.
The exploitation of these folks is unbelievable. You're exactly right. And, frankly, I got to criticize President Bush on this. Clinton was much tougher on employers than Bush was, far more arrests, far more people going in and checking places out.
I'm not a Pat fan but from reading the transcript, he makes sense.
The ruling class needs less a more passive population, one that has a client/caseworker mentality, instead of one that views it's leaders as public servants.
Then please explain how the state of Texas has become more conservative, especially with pat buchanan's arguement that an hispanic horde has invaded Texas in the last 30 years, when 30 years ago, Texas was a democrat party stronghold.
Pat maybe a bit loopy on some issues but he's on target with illegal immigration. After all it is the OBL that supports anarchy if it makes a buck. They're no better than crack dealers in my book.
His comments on this were right on the money.
Close the border, eliminate citizenship for children born to aliens, reduce numbers of legal immigrants allowed in, go after employers and criminals. And the problem will be reduced over time to manageable proportions.

Sounds good to me, but if you look at it, it amounts to doing nothing about the 12 million already here (they will be absorbed over time). In other words, amnesty, which I thought many objected to around here.
Cuz we're the Greatest Nation on Earh, and without cheap, illegal labor, we won't make it.
