Rudy has the highest name recognition on this list with NONE of the negatives I can live with Rudy for the reasons you suggest, his Executive experience. I like Newt better. Actually a Newt/Rudy ticket would be ideal. Or vice versa...

here's what Newt did when he was Speaker
Taxes were cut for the first time in 17 years . included cut in the capital gains tax, a $500 per child tax credits for tuition to college and voc-tech schools. The cap gains tax actually ended being scored as a revenue increase, a shift in tax policy debate.
