A previously unheard of Palestinian group, the Holy Jihad Brigades, claimed responsibility on Wednesday for kidnapping a Fox News cameraman and correspondent, Al-Jazeera satellite TV reported.
American correspondent Steve Centanni, 60, and cameraman Olaf Wiig, 36, of New Zealand were kidnapped Aug. 14 from their TV van near the Palestinian security services headquarters in Gaza City. Although Palestinian militant groups have often seized foreigners, including members of the media, this is the longest any have been held.
Oh, oh. I thought it was Hamas, no matter what the Palys have claimed. This sounds like an Al Qaeda group.
CNN played the video.
They are sitting crosslegged on the ground against a black background. They're hands are folded in their laps. They aren't smiling but look healthy.
This isn't good. We aren't going to release prisoners in the US. OMG
Releasing the tape- not the hostages.
Jennifer of Fox with Leaflet ... - lot of talk of all nonbelievers to become muslim. strongest words - you raped us and other strong words, and then demands that US exchange muslim prisoners for the two hostages.
She then talks a little of the 90 sec video contents....
held prisoner, have water food, access to toilet, etc. captors are treating us well. etc.
olaf adds, if you can find a way to get local gov't here in gaza to help us, I would appreciate it.
Did CNN said 72 hours or 72 virgins?
Saying many, many prayers right now.
Steve says: "We've been captured in Gaza and we're in good health and conditino. We have water and food, bathroom and shower, clean clothes. Captors are treating us well. Just letting you know I give my love to my family and do whatever we can to get out of here."
Olaf says if you can find local pressure in Gaza to help us, I appreciate it. My love to my family.
Steve says we love you all and hope to see you soon.
FNC to show video in a moment; more than just the picture I descriped upthread.
An American is a hostage of Muslim terrorists.
He must be freed and these Muslim a-holes made to pay a high price in casaulties.
Olaf calls for pressure on the Palestinian government for their relief.
Jennifer says that Olaf and Centanni went to Palestine on their own; they chose to go there because they wanted to show the Palestinian perspective.
Man o man. Sounds ominous. I hate this.
Praying.
Now this? As if we don't know what is going to happen in 72 hours? I'm ill...
sw
They know full well these demands won't be met.
Good job transcribing;)

Doesn't sound good. FNC saying we have a policy of not negotiating in situations like this.
Jennifer asks if it is a Palestinian group or a group that infiltrated from elsewhere.
Nothing in leaflet says they're a Palestinian group although she says she has to look at it more closely. Palestinians say this isn't how they treat guests and say they know their best weapon is the media so they are upset by this because they know it hurts their cause.
Excellent transcription

"Oh, oh. "
Oh, oh is right in that case.
I feel sort of sick to my stomach. Steve is such a good guy; one of the best at FNC. His poor family must be frantic.
Thank you.
I think the deadline begins at midnight tonight; yes -- just confirmed on FNC.
So that's Saturday night (our time) at midnight.
