Gaza group claims kidnapping of Fox journalists Wed Aug 23, 2006 08:58 AM ET
GAZA (Reuters) - A previously unknown militant group in Gaza claimed responsibility on Wednesday for the kidnapping nine days ago of two Fox journalists and demanded the United States release "Muslim prisoners" within 72 hours.
"Release what you have, and we will release what we have," the Holy Jihad Brigades said in a fax sent to reporters.

Centanni's family said that the Palestinians had no better friend in the media than him (or words to that effect).
These animals are slime.
Do what the KGB did.
Send a force into Gaza, kidnap some bigtime people, cut off pieces of them, wrap them in bacon and send them back to the families until the hostages are released.
The bacon part was my idea.
ping
This is the Palestinian business model.
Kidnap hostages. Hold for ransom.
Warning! This is a high-volume ping list.
Another thing to so is to do the same thing to the politicos, but cut off the heads, wrap them in pig stomachs and fedex them to Assad and Achmanidedse...Whatever that Iranians name is.
Time to just say hang-the-luck'... ain't no peace gonna' work with these swine... they need killin' and they need it bad.
In that case he's now with his friends, the so-called Palestinians.
They claim to be an unheard of group but i'm willing to bet that it is Hamas or Al Aqsa that did it and just don't want the full weight of America on their ass. I hate to say that his chances don't look good since we don't negotiate with terrorists.
This is why you kill these vermin where you find them.....
Why is every new incident caused by a "previously unknown group"?....sooner or later they'll run out of names..........
Reuters wouldn't load all the way for me (I waited about 5 minutes). Have these people supplied a videotape or anything to show that they are alive and reasonably well?
Is this new group of jihadis really a group or opportunists who saw the main chance and grabbed it and worried about how to turn the situation to their advantage later?
My thinking is, if this is how they treat the people who at least believe they are giving the Palestinians a chance to air their side of the story, why should anyone stick their neck out - literally?
The whole Palestinian issue reminds me of a pyramid marketing scheme gone horribly wrong: The only ones who benefit are the ones at the top, and the people who have been sucked into it are conditioned to see everyone around them as "resources", in this case, read "hostages".
Who here has the programming knowledge to create a "Palestinian militant group name generator"?
The families of such victims quite often make these statements in the faint hope of saving their loved ones.
They'll say something like...release him or her, he or she is a journalist and they are more valuable alive and free so they can tell the story, than they are dead or kidnapped. I saw the family's statement. That's what they were trying to get at, in my opinion.
These people are making these statements under severe duress. Who knows what they would say if Steve wasn't at risked of being beheaded or whatever? Their true feelings are not being spoken...just words they think MIGHT have a chance to get Steve back alive.
I don't know what I would say in their shoes.
I do know how I feel about the Palestinians, though, when I'm not under duress, and it ain't pretty...
WARRIORS OF THE HOLY JIHAD
Next!
It's Islamic Jihad or Hamas. Take your pick.
