Might want to throw that comforter on the floor when you stay at one of those hotels. That or bring some forensic tools to tell just how clean the room is or isn't.

Regardless of how I feel about the increased availability of hardcore porn on hotel pay-per-view systems, I am loathe to petition the government to increase its regulation into the content of what entertainment people can choose to purchase in their hotel rooms.

There have been porno movies available in hotels at which I have stayed. I CHOSE NOT TO WATCH THEM. If I had a child old enough to operate the TV, I would have had the front desk block the 'adult' channels.
Caricature of a Puritan: Violently upset that someone somewhere might be having fun.

What Hotels should do is turn off porn access to rooms which have minor children registered as staying, and only turn it on if spedifically authorized by an adult. Otherwise Hotels could be selling porn to minor children which is probably against the law in every state.

The rooms all say that the name of the movie you watch will not show up on your bill.
I wonder how much money these would make if the name would appear on your bill.
I wonder how much money these would make if you had to call the desk and request the movies be permitted in your room (as opposed to the current default which is to permit them unless you request otherwise).
In other words, I wonder how much money these would make if the people watching them did not do in private what they wished not to have exposed in public.
Shalom.

If you ban it on the TV, people will just use their high speed internet connections to get it. This seems like a silly issue to spend time on.

Though unable to cite specific cases, Burress contended that the availability of in-room porn is making hotels more dangerous.
This is just plain silly.
In the first place, Hotel movies are soft porn - you can see the same thing on Cinemax at night.
In the second place, all of these Hotels now have high speed internet links - where EVERYTHING is available.

Good luck against the power of the dollar is right! I certainly cant be trusted to make a decision for myself, so these kind folks are stepping in to try and make the decision for me.

Wonderful. He doesn't watch it anymore, which means NOBODY should watch it anymore. Yay freedom!

Both Kathy Shepard of Hilton and Roger Conner of Marriott said the bulk of their hotels are operated by franchise-holders who make their own decisions about in-room programming. They made clear, however, that their companies consider adult movies to be an acceptable option So Marriott has gone smoke free, including it's subsidiaries, finds porn more acceptable than smoking. Also, these "franchise-holders" are free to make their own decisions about porn, but not about whether to provide smoking rooms. Hmmmm.....

Just as I thought, its like smoking and alcohol.
One guy can't handle it so he becomes as addicted to eliminating it as he was to it.
Instead of just learning to live and make responsible choices in a world of temptation like the rest of us do.

Providing porn to hotel rooms is a matter of NATIONAL SECURITY! That's right... I'm not making this up. We need Federal legislation requiring that porn be available in every hotel room in America. "Why?" you ask? "Why?"?!? Isn't it obvious?!? You monitor the rooms of Muslim men between the ages of 17 and 45 for their viewing habits, room service orders, and water usage. Those who watch a bunch of porn, order booze by the gallon, and waste an acre-foot of water grooming are your next suicide bombers, of course!! (And after they check out, a towel count is necessary to complete the picture. If a washcloth is missing, then that's your man. They have a habit of wrapping up their Habib Thomas before rushing off to explode.)

My wife and I flip through the menu and find the most outrageous title we can. Then we improvise what we imagine to be a scene from said title. Lots of laughs and lots of fun, and no $9.95 charge.
I keep meaning to put some wakka-wakka music on the laptop to enhance the experience.
