A poll in Time Magazine, however, suggested that she would be pipped in a head to head challenge by top Republican contender Senator John McCain.
since when is McCain the top rep contender??

Hillary probably has the distinction of being the best fundraiser for the Democratic Party -- and the best fundraiser for the Republican Party," Bill Clinton probably has the best reputation as a Candidate Sinker. His presence has been the kiss of death for more than one candidacy.

Bill Clinton probably has the best reputation as a Candidate Sinker. That's not the way liberals see it. They still claim Al Gore waited too long to ask for Bill's help. Personally I think it was Gore's weirdo performance during the debates that freaked out just enough soccar moms to make the difference in the key states.

There is very little evidence that McCain is a Republican Conservative.

And Guiliani isn't. The question is, is that one issue enough to split the GOP vote? What's your wager?

No, I don't look forward to that. Anything can happen in the campaign. The Republican could have an "accident" just before the election. Behind the scenes, George Soros could do something to have a detrimental impact to the economy. She needs to be stopped before the nomination. The stakes are too high to take a chance.

Seriously - following his loss in the Rep. primary, I fully expect that McCain will agree to become her running mate

Works for me. I know he's not pro-life, but I'm not sure that would prevent me voting for him over McCain. Some people think McCain rode that POW thing too far already.
