Five years after 9/11, our airline security is still a joke - the TSA give CAIR Islamofascists an inside tour of our airline security procedures and in contrast to the Israelis, we still insist on elevating political correctness and multi-cultural pandering to Muslim feelings above passenger safety. We will ban deodorant and lipstick from being brought on a plane but heaven forbid we should profile and examine the most likely terrorist suspects - who happen to be Muslim. If things don't change and our government doesn't allow the rational use of ethnic profiling to prevent needless random searches of every one - including people who present no risk at all - its just a matter of time before there will be another 9/11. The British have changed policies - what's stopping us from following suit? Its a very good question.

Just as the ACLU considers racial profiling to be “institutional racism and discrimination,” . . .

Of course the ACLU supports profiling for admission to universities, for minority set asides in government contracts.

If a woman was raped in a bar, would the police suspect and question everyone present or nearby, women included, just to be fair?

Our nation has gone mad.

We have not really begun fighting this menace. It is a shame, you would think that after five years and countless Muslim attacks around the world, it would have given us enough time and impetus to develop a new mindset to handle the enemy. Instead we are still stuck in our PC mindset which totally handcuffs common sense and our ability to be proactive rather than reactive.

TSA, nail files, smoke, mirrors, dogs, and ponies, qualify as airport security, but certainly don't qualify for security in the air. I chose, post 9-11 to make my observations, a semi-permanent no fly option on commercial airliners. I would dearly love to see security Israeli style implemented immediately.

This really annoys the heck out of me. If anyone in security thought for one second that the gels and liquids that they are making passengers throw away are explosives, do you think they would let them be just dumped in a trash can right next to where they are standing? How stupid is this? I am going to Disney next month and I want to bring a bottle of water with a sport top on the plane and into the secure area. I don't want to throw my bottled water away before I go through security, and then buy another one to throw away before I get on the plane. How wasteful is this? What about moisturizer? I want that, too. I have 2 children who will spill the open water cup that the airlines give out as soon as they get it. This will destroy the airline industry, because I will never fly again if I can't bring water and moisturizer and lip balm on board. I bought these tickets before this latest threat, so am stuck for now, but after this I will drive to Orlando.

As long as the TSA serves as a conduit for preferential minority hiring, security will be a sham.

I actually went through a screening where the individual that was supposed to be watching the x-ray images, was asleep.
