August 21, 2006 -- WASHINGTON - John Kerry yesterday slammed his Senate colleague Joe Lieberman as "dead wrong" on Iraq.
Kerry (D-Mass.) accused now-independent Lieberman, the Democratic vice-presidential nominee in 2000, of parroting the phrases of Vice President Dick Cheney about the war in Iraq and its critics.
"I am concerned that he is making a Republican case and he is uttering almost the same words as Vice President Cheney, and I think it's inappropriate," Kerry fumed on ABC's "This Week."

Gotta love the NYPost. Inadvertantly identifying one of the only two ways Kerry could actually hurt Lieberman's campaign.
Get caught selling him cocaine.
The other being, of course, to endorse him.

...by calling for Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld to resign. "We would benefit from new leadership to work with our military in Iraq," he said on CBS's "Face the Nation."
This is not a parlementary system. Calling for a resignation is an appeasement for the drive by media. It is symbolic to the media in that they can have something to really rip into for about two days and then its onto something else or the public will grab the clickers and see what else is on tonight. Hey lookey here, that little girl killer is on again.
