So long as the teacher, whether they are female or male, sticks to the BIBLE. That's the key.
But the bible says women aren't to Pastor a church or teach men...
She must read a different bible than the one I read...
God is God and St. Paul is St. Paul. The Bible is a record of statements made or written at different times for various purposes. It is NOT an Earthly manifestation of a pure document maintained in Heaven. Christians are not Moslems and shouldn't make Islamic arguments.
As the brother-in-law of an ordained female Presbyterian pastor (a self-proclaimed evangelical too) I have a serious problem with disobedience to scripture.
The Holy Spirit NEVER contradicts what He inspired, and the Holy Spirit inspried the whole bible, even 1 Timothy 2 and 3.
I'd be willing to bet she'd a mite more pious than you, but maybe I'm biased.
The pastor she has is a great guy. No one in the congregation she's currently the pastor of has any issue with it and the church in Cleveland Tennessee didn't care much either.
