No disrespect to our soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines, BUT sheepdogs eat sheep for diner. Maybe not wholesale like wolves, but they still eat meat. I never liked this analogy. Sorry to be negative.

... sheepdogs eat sheep for diner...I am astonished to hear this. My next-door neighbor has two hundred sheep. I've worked with him and his dogs. He's never mentioned such a possibility to me.
Please document your statement.

Your have just shown your total ignorance of any aspect of ranching life. In 63 ranching years, I have never seen or heard of any instance of a trained sheepdog
attacking or hurting either a sheep or lamb.

...sheepdogs eat sheep for diner...I'd guess that those who do don't last long as sheepdogs.

BUT sheepdogs eat sheep for diner.

I actually have two herd dogs who live with a herd of dairy goats. They don't eat the goats, but protect them.
Your post confused me.

"BUT sheepdogs eat sheep for diner. Maybe not wholesale like wolves, but they still eat meat. I never liked this analogy. Sorry to be negative." Your interpretation is incorrect. Any sheepdog that eats sheep does so "legally"--after it's been killed and butchered by its owner, and offered to the dog. The sheepdog doesn't go out, pick a sheep out of the flock, and kill and eat it---wolves (and coyotes) do.
