Next, we'll see the survivors of the perp suing the owner of the house.

You gotta be kiddin' me! The perp accidentally kills himself while trying to bash in someone's back door, and the cops cite the homeowner for a faulty staircase? Unbelievable!
To: Boston Blackie
Turn it over to his homeowner's policy!

What's a break-in artist? Is that like a performance artist?
Why the hell can't the newspaper call him a burglar, or at least an intruder?

So if I volunteer to "off" myself on Hillary's staircase, will that keep her out of the White House, for sure and for good? /sarcasm

Those weren't stairs-It was just a big plant stand...
Well, that would be my excuse...
To: Boston Blackie

the home owner should sue the estate of the late perp for ripping the stairs from the side of the home with his kicking of the door.....and the deep rut left in the driveway

Yeah, and a guy named Tony down the street from me sells "Break-in Art" real cheap.

You know, this fits the pattern that the British have come to live under. If past history is correct, a farmer shoots a man breaking and entering his house, the farmer goes to jail and pays the burglar his medical expenses and "pain and suffering". The burglar is living off the man he attempted to rob. Guess crime pays in Britain.

I know Tony's brother Vito! He sells "break-in art" that fell off the back of a truck.

I think a few pre-emptive lawsuits against the families of deceased criminals would go a long way towards restoring sanity in our legal system. This whole business of criminals (or their survivors) suing their victims is ridiculous.

the home owner should sue the estate of the late perp for ripping the stairs from the side of the home with his kicking of the door YEAH. Stairs were not designed or intended to withstand that.
To: Boston Blackie
I'll bet that the family of the dead guy sues, regardless of the circumstances. And given that it's Massachusetts....BOSTON Massachusetts...they'll win.

The homeowners lawyer should claim the perp was trying to steal the stairs.

He's not a criminal; he's a "Break-In Artist".
He must have been looking for objects d'arte, if that's what they're calling him.
