The President replied, "I believe that Plan B ought to be -- ought to require a prescription for minors, is what I believe. And I support Andy's decision." And what is wrong with that position? It's 100% more than you'd get from a Democrat.
This president gets criticized by the left and the far right and I'm pretty sick of it. The Republican party is a big tent party but there seems to be a small faction within the party that tries to alienate the middle voter every chance they get.
I hope they're happy with their whining when they get a Democrat Congress and White House.

He's being completely inconsistent. If killing an embryo for stem cell research is not allowed, neither should killing a baby a few hours after conception- no matter how old the mother is. Bad bad decision.

And what is wrong with that position? It's worthless window-dressing for starters, because any minor who wants it will just pay an adult to buy it for her.
Not to mention that adult male molesters of young girls can buy it OTC.
It ought to be called the "statutory rape enabler pill," because that's what it is.

I think the president was confused when he answered the question.
If I've got this right, the FDA commissioner wants to allow the drug to be sold over the counter (meaning w/o a prescription).
So how could the president be supporting this decision, while at the same time believing that the drug should require a prescription?
He can't be supporting two opposite things.

What's wrong with it is that it is an over-the-counter abortion for everyone over 18.
Bush carried the Catholic and Evangelical anti-abortion vote, which put him in his job. Abortion is abortion; he's just made himself out to be a liar.
I've been a burning supporter of his on every issue except the border, but now this???? I think not.

My thoughts also. I think the media has worn down
most of POTUS supporters, inclding the wieners on this
site. Anyone who can se a Dem. in his chair...is asking
for a miserable time in this country..as they have no
sense of the country and the present day needs...of
which abortion is an abomination and they delight in
the slaughtering of these innocent babies..Jake

The president gets criticized by pro-lifers when he deserves it. For this, he deserves it. Plan-B is an abortifacient. There's no two-ways about it. This decision makes his prior decision on embryonic stem-cell research look incoherent.
Truly a stupid and immoral position on his part.
