Texas Sheriffs Say Terrorists Enter Through Mexico

The chief law enforcement officers of several Texas counties along the southern U.S. border warn that Arabic-speaking individuals are learning Spanish and integrating into Mexican culture before paying smugglers to sneak them into the United States. The Texas Sheriffs' Border Coalition believes those individuals are likely terrorists and that drug cartels and some members of the Mexican military are helping them get across the border.

Sheriff Sigifredo Gonzalez of Zapata County, Texas told Cybercast News Service that Iranian currency, military badges in Arabic, jackets and other clothing are among the items that have been discovered along the banks of the Rio Grande River. The sheriff also said there are a substantial number of individuals crossing the southern border into the U.S. who are not Mexican. He described the individuals in question as well-funded and able to pay so-called "coyotes" - human smugglers - large sums of money for help gaining illegal entry into the U.S.

Our northern border is a problem but we get actual cooperation from the Canadian government. Mexico on the other hand catches middle easterners, then releases them with instructions to go north.

I (and others) have been repeatedly chastised on FR in the past for suggesting that terrorists might pay coyotes to smuggle them into the US through the southern border.

What has been explained to me, in detail, by fellow FRers, is that I am an idiot for being concerned about this. I am also a mindless "Border-bot" because I would like more security on the border.

Apparently, coyotes wouldn't smuggle in terrorists, because it would be really bad for business... if these terrorists ever blew up anything in the US, then the US would have to *really* crack down on the border, and this would make life miserable for the coyotes.

So, it is really the illegal immigrant smuggling trade, and the Mexican coyotes, that keep us safe on our southern border.

These law enforcement sheriff types don't know what they are talking about.

We can all sleep soundly tonight, knowing that Mexican criminals are keeping us safe from terrorists.

I've been chastised here, too, and I share your concerns. For one thing, I work for people who understand having illegals dying on their ranches near the border. And stealing from them, littering up their places.

These thugs have taken racial profiling and used it to their advantage. They not only look Hispanic, now they speak it. The only thing missing is the easiest to get: fake credentials.

Good article.This is not "new" news for many of us,but our elected officials for the most part refuse to acknowledge the problem of terrorists entering through Mexico.What will these politico's do when these "undocumented" terrorists begin to reek havoc in the US?This is one area where i feel GW has realy let us down.He may regret it.
