And did you listen to WHY he said he was good to Illegals?? Because the Government would not do anything at the time Clinton was in office. He had no choice. He had no power over illegal immigrants but in order to make it safe for NYers he had to make it easier for them to live there and becmee citizens. He made it easier for the illegals to report criminals and crime by not having to give their names. He helped them try to get their citizenship if they wanted and by letting them report the criminals from their country you get rid of the bad element. Rudy's hands were tied at the time during a Clinton White House. He needed to stop crime. Rudy as a mayor cannot deport people it was up to the Federal government to deport. He believes in closing the border.

Everyone believes in closing the border, Bush, McCain, etc. The question is WHEN. I was for him until i found that out. The liberal UF students seem to love him, at least my daughter's friends, if nominated he would have tons of cross over votes. I am still hoping for a nominee who will enforce the laws like the little towns are having to do for themselves. Did Giuliani do that? I don't think so.

If that was his explanation, then he has utterly disqualified himself from serious consideration for the White House among conservatives for TWO reasons . . . 1) he's on the wrong side of about 90% of the issues, and 2) he's completely full of sh!t.

Go back and look at his track record in New York when it comes to illegal aliens. He openly and proudly proclaimed that he would ignore the 1996 Federal statute that made it explicitly illegal for local governments to implement "sanctuary" policies. (In case you aren't aware of this, a "sanctuary" policy effectively prevents local government employees from cooperating with the INS in identifying and apprehending illegal aliens.)

I never thought I'd see the day when so-called "conservatives" would come here on FreeRepublic and shill for a leftist presidential candidate who ought to be sitting in a Federal prison right now.
