Wow, Time must have used that title twice, as Reed's book has a copy of the article on page 545.

But the bottom line is time will carry Hilary's cr@p.

Despite the far left whackjobs who think they own the party, Hillary is the favorite to get the nomination. The Internet lefties will not stop her, because their heart is really not in stopping her. Deep down, she is one of them. They hate the war, in large measure, because they hate Bush. No Americans are being drafted.

Wonder how a large portion 10 to 20 million(or more) illegal and legal aliens will vote?.. For HER(and socialism) or the Republican?...

One of the funniest lines ever uttered on the Katie/Hillary thing was when a wag (can't recall who) declared that some new TV show was the most blatant display of woman on woman sex since Katie Couric interviewed Hillary Clinton.

Should we have a Grunwald rule like we have a Coulter rule?

The elites want Shillary. The "Two-Party Cartel" is afraid of her because the elites want her. The MSM wants her. The pubbies don't care about voter fraud or they would put a stop to it. The pubbies are losing respect with the right because of their rendition of political correctness/ big gov/ open borders/lack of a spine. Be aware - Be very aware.

Once people start paying attention and the Dem debates are held, it's my guess Hillary's strident whine will endear her to the Republic much as Howard Dean's "Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeargh!" worked so well for him.

No one in their right mind wants to hear her evil-lecturing-stepmother schtick for four months, let alone four years.

[ The pubbies don't care about voter fraud or they would put a stop to it. ]

I'm afraid there is some kind of shadow gov't.. or this would be happening for at least 10 years.. Everybody knows the democrats cheat in many ways with voting.. The illegal and legal aliens are a gift from heaven.. in that way..

I pose that the 2006 AND 2008 elections will be a sham..
Already the son of "read my lips no new taxes" ran against a known moron in 2000 and a known traitor in 2004.. I'm Very suspicious about that.. Just as little to convenient for me.. Without a Coup D'etat America might already be sliding down a slippery slope..

I'm sorry .. but I just don't believe the media is able to carry Hillary anywhere anymore.

Maybe they could pull it off in 1992, but in 2008 - they're out of their league. They do not control the topic of the day anymore.

Besides, I know several people on FR who are loaded for the fight with all the scandals her husband brought upon us .. and I don't believe there are enough people in America who really want to see Bubba back in the WH any day soon.

I am amazed how people underestimate her.

I think what you really mean is that you are amazed (and so am I) how people underestimate her and especially the relentless and ruthless ability of the media to PROMOTE and PROTECT her.

She has a great chance to win because the old media is still very, very influential on enough ignorant American citizens who vote.

It sickens me, but she looks like the favorite now, unless something catastrophic happens ....... and that is a real possibility.

Prepare for even lower standards of behavior of the MSM.

Yes indeed.

And ......... as the months and years go by there is a segment of Americans, such as most FReepers, who are getting wiser every day concerning politics and events, but on the other hand, there is another very large segment of the voters who are continually being dumbed down and lied to by the old media. They are relentless.

She can win.

Matt Cooper is mentally ill - just on the basis that he can look at Mandy Grunwald and be attracted. Sure she is smart, for a fascist, but she is like bella abzug ugly. ......Well, if that is Matt Cooper in the picture beside her, he's ain't prince charming himself. They seem to be a well suited pair.

Those two are the equivalent of Ellen Ugly Ratner and Michael Porkly Moore.

"She is married to a fellow who believes that politics is all about turning enemies in to friends. Her attitude, friends say, is that enemies are enemies for life and should be consigned to the outer darkness, then vaporized." -- columnist Gloria Borger on Bill and Hillary Clinton.

"Bill and Hillary possess that rare blend of grade A Machiavellian caginess combined with the luck of a two-time Powerball winner" -- Dennis Miller

Should we have a Grunwald rule like we have a Coulter rule?

If we do that, then we would also need a Helen Thomas rule and a Susan Estrich rule. Better not go there.

I think it's our problem that we don't have a good candidate to fight her other than perhaps Giuliani. And he has huge problems in his social beliefs, perhaps cannot win the primary as a result.

I understand she is to be feared for her drive and her madness, but she can't win unless there is either a third party or we fight with a very weak candidate. Her negatives are too high, and can't be fixed when people actually have to listen to her voice.

We will see what happens, but you can overestimate her and empower her just as much as the opposite.

Overstimate her power? Robert Ray said that she gave "factually false" testimony. The real name is perjury. What was the penalty? She has had filed four false FEC reports. What was the penalty? She has compromised all three branches of the government. She has money, organization, and true believe foot soldiers. The ace in the hole, unlike anyone else, she is willing to do ANYTHING for power. That is why she cannot be underestimated.
