Agree with you on that. Just wondering if Joe is doing a lot of thinking these days.
But OTOH maybe not....

The Lamont victory was a referendum on the Democratic party. And it lost. LOL. I hope so.

There is no evidence to suggest that as an "Independent" he will vote with conservatives. But will he be in the RAT Caucus thus counted for the purposes of determining the majority and committee assignment.
To: R.W.Ratikal
Taking it a step further I predict when Lieberman wins as an Independant that he switches his affiliation back to the Dems. He wins as an (I) but switches to (D) soon thereafter. Connecticutt GOPers vote Republican and forget this Lieberman cabal from Sean Hannity.

RJC Launches Ad Campaign on Lieberman Loss
Contact: Executive Director Matthew Brooks
Wednesday, August 9, 2006
The Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) today announced it will begin a national advertising campaign to challenge the Jewish community to consider the nature of todays Democratic Party given the defeat of Senator Joe Lieberman.
Joe Lieberman was a voice of support for Israel. That voice has been silenced by the Democratic Party. America and Israel are worse off for it. the RJC ad says.
The Democratic Party is being taken over by the Cindy Sheehan, Howard Dean, Al Sharpton wing which represents weakness on foreign policy and neutrality toward Israel, said RJC Executive Director Matt Brooks. The left-wing defeat of Senator Joe Lieberman is a troubling development for all Jewish Americans who care about a strong national defense and support for Israel. Now that the Democrats have voted Joe Lieberman out of the party, Jewish Democrats should ask themselves, Is this the political party I want to be part of?
The RJC advertisement will run in Jewish newspapers across the country. A PDF file is attached and it can be viewed on the RJC web site at www.RJCHQ.org.
According to a Los Angeles Times poll released last week, when asked between aligning with Israel or adopting a more neutral posture, Democrats supported neutrality over alignment, 54% to 39%, while Republicans supported alignment with the Jewish state 64% to 29%.
According to exit polls, Republicans have been making steady inroads into the traditionally Democratic Jewish voting block. The Republican share of the Jewish vote has risen in recent elections, from 11% in 1992, to 16% in 1996, to 19% in 2000, and 25% in 2004.

Joe stood in the U. S. Senate and soundly chastised Bubba Clinton (the sexual predator and accused rapist) concerning his conduct in the oval office with Monica. Then when it came time to vote Clinton guilty or not guilty of the impeachment charges of perjury and obstruction of justice, Joe locked arms with his party colleagues and voted not guilty. So much for his integrity and sense of values. He is like all the rest of the Dems. They all make good politicians and very poor statesmen/women because they have no scruples whatsoever.
With that said, Joe still needs to defeat Lamont. So if I were a resident of CT, I would vote for Joe.

"Gotta wonder if Joe isn't reaching the same conclusion that Reagan did. Not that he left the RAT party, but instead that the RAT party left him."
The only thing the RAT party left him on is Iraq.

Everyone is crying, "Lieberman votes Liberal 90% of the time." Well DUH!!! He is a Liberal. Hello!?!?! <<
Yeah, but "conservatives" keep inviting the pro-partial abortion gun grabbing nut to "join" our party. Just because his fellow socialists kicked him out of THEIR party is not an excuse to join OURS. If Lieberman's good enough for the GOP, then a slimey leftist like Chafee is a good conservative in comparison. For me, I like it when the socialists eat their own.
If LIEberman wants to run as an INDEPENDANT and show that he's beholden to neither party, let him, but if he wants to be a REPUBLICAN, he needs to leave his socialist "values" at the door.
Loserman has said he will caucus with the RATs anyway, once he is re-elected as an "independant". Just goes to show you he never learns.

He will caucus with the RATS except over the WOT. That is it. Finito. WEe all know it and the ones supporting Lieberman are doing it for that reason alone.
