The one thing that I (vaguely) remember though was his budget surpluses.
It just is?
Any president who was in office during the 90's would've reaped the benefit of the computer boom. Much of the economic properities of the time were due to that, the dot com industries etc. Obviously the dotcoms subsequently imploded as was expected by many.
The thing is, I honestly can't bring to mind ANY platform or initiative that Clinton ran on to get elected that he was able to bring to legislation and sign. Lots of promises though. He was big on promises.
All that aside, his fiddling and diddling and governing based on focus groups and poll results while the islamic threat gathered and strengthened, simply cannot be ignored. His own administration assisted in tying the hands of our intelligence agencies via the Gorelick wall for instance.
He has done a lot of damage to this country, whether intentionally or just through extremely incompetent leadership. Some of that damage is probably yet to be seen.
properities = prosperities
That's a classic, from '98 or '99...
You value all of this, yet you favor Bubba.
Please explain yourself further. Even better, explain how Bubba defends these "American values" that you cherish?
I have favorable impressions of Presidents Harry S. Truman, LBJ, Nixon, and GHWB, to name only a few. In short, I personally like them. Does that have anything whatsoever to do with my political views?
The answer is yes. If you are indeed on the correct forum, I would highly recommend a history lesson for you. You seem to have a charismatice attraction to certain leaders, some of who have sold this country out, along with those "views" you so dearly cherish. You are young and may one day learn that a secular humanistic view makes one prey to ungodly charismatic leaders.
Your contridiction and makes you appear to be a troll. Your recent sign up date also lacks further support of your statements.
My prayer for you is that you find the One Person who deserves our admiration above all else. And not a secular distorted view of Him either.
A new ashtray?
Or maybe a lamp?
:)
Using Nixon as a example, does Watergate make his domestic and foreign policy successes nonexistent? Should I hate him just because of that? No, of course not.
I am young, but a secular humanist view does not make one prey to ungodly charismatic leaders. We like to think and weight out issues thoroughly.
"Quietly?
I must have read a dozen stories in various outlets in the past week about Bubba's 60th Birthday.
Won't these idiots ever just go away?"
Thank you! I've seen this story about 10Xs over the last 2 weeks. I don't which is worst Bubba making such a big deal out of his birthday or the media lapping it up.
