The commie/leftie/socialist/America haters want the country disarmed. They want a passive citizenry who can't fight back against the socialist/commie takeover and oppression.
Guns in the hands of the citizens = freedom, the most radical political idea of all history. Many people, especially the Dims can't handle freedom. They don't want you to be able to make your own choices and live your own life according to your own philosophy or beliefs.
Communism/socialism is just another word for fascism.

Thank you. I have studied comparative economic systems and socialism is little different from fascism. Communism on the other hand is a fallacy and cannot work on creatures more evolved than ants. The old USSR, Red China, etc were all socialist - the state owns the means of production.
