Of course, Hagel is running for President.

No, that is republican primary for President & he will be the 1st person to lose big in the race.

McCain is very (forceful tone of voice and furrowed brow) disappointed with the French and their failure to send troops to Lebanon. The French, I think, got inordinate influence on the UN resolution by stating that they would have 10,000 troops there, so they deserved a say-so. Then they reneged. They did the same thing to Powell.

Yup. They never had any intention of sending that many troops.

Boy! Chris Wallace really took on Hagel, stating that Hagel's position on Iraq and the GWOT are exactly like Lamont's (at least that is what I heard Wallace say). Hagel got pretty defensive, but it is true. He is a weakling on National Defense. He is right when he talks about the divisiveness in this country over the war, but he doesn't put the blame where it belongs. Democrats have done everything they can to undermine the GWOT, but Hagel refuses to admit that. When the dems sided with the French and the UN about Iraq, they demonstrated at that point in time, they have no leadership qualities. When they chose to defer important decisions to Kofi and Krew, the dems wrote their own ticket to minority status. I don't believe for a minute they will take the House of Senate this year.

That's what I'm expecting.

But Senator Santorum will be there, I do not know who else. I expect he will be somewhat comforting, but the rest, who knows.

If you have any specific question I should ask given the opportunity, I'm all ears.

Well the Dems have certainly left themselves open for attack on those issues. The question is will the GOP take advantage.

McCain's stock keeps rising, in my book. He's been a forceful voice of support for the WOT.

Two weeks in a row without Buffalo Butt? Maybe he is being trained by the NBC Makeover People how to not be so obviously partisan because it is so blatant it is astounding. Most obvious is the hunched over, lean way into the Pubbie gesture that he does not seem to be able to stop himself from doing. Second is the Monologue to the Pubbie where he pays no attention to the Pubbie response, but goes right on to another Monologue of Partisan, insinuating, mean and abrasive sounding Questions. They may be training him to be less of a suck up to any Democrat, with less soft ball questions given to them, and maybe some decent follow up questions. Actually, it is better for Republicans that they are able to see the real Partisan Hack that he is,and the rest of the Country cannot help but notice. I would hope that Buffalo Butt us practicing for his Grand Jury appearance...One can hope..

Well he knows that's his best selling point. Hagel on the other hand is beyond clueless.

Thanks anita,
I try and not concentrate on anything McCain has to say.

Can't remember where but I saw Rudy on t.v not too long ago and he really looked Presidential. He seems to be running and also seems to be modifying some of his positions to be more acceptable to conservatives. Rudy will never be a hardcore conservative but sadly a hardcore conservative probably would have a tough time getting elected.

The msm/dbm still has just a little too much access to voters minds, this slowly changing but we need another 4 or 5 years for them to become irrelevant.

Gregory is going to keep asking if Iraq is a civil war until he gets someone, anyone, to say yes. "How badly did we miscalculate in Iraq." (Every question is a slam against the President, every one.)

New panel member on FNS; Cornblut(?) from the NYTimes. Immediately she talks about how the President polls did not get a bump from the terrorist bust in UK.

I'd be happy to see at least a different senator one of these shows every now and then.

Yeah, like Jeff Sessions. The RNC is going to have to do something about the MSM getting to pick the line-up every Sunday.

Funny, I had a dream about Santorum last night.

If I were going, I'd be curious to know the status of the pending immigration legislation. That awful Senate bill passed, but has the House taken the issue up again, or are they cravenly waiting until after the November elections?
