The man who confessed to killing JonBenet Ramsey had another bizarre secret up his sleeve in the months before his arrest - he was visiting a surgical centre that specialises in sex-change operations.
Staff at the Pratunam Clinic, Thailand's top transgender centre, told the New York Daily News yesterday that 41-year-old John Mark Karr was a patient of theirs - but wouldn't say how close he was to getting "sexual reassignment" surgery.
"Yes, he had treatment here," a representative said. "He was our patient. He came a number of times. But we cannot give out details on his treatment as we are ethically bound to keep these things private."
The disclosure came a day after The News reported that Karr sought cosmetic surgeons' help changing his face in Bangkok. In his nine months there, he made 12 phone calls from his hotel room - nine of them to plastic surgeons.
Two calls were to the Pratunam Clinic, which specialises in putting men under the knife to become "ladyboys" and also sponsors the annual World's Most Beautiful Transsexual competition. It charges $US1600 ($2105) for the surgery, which could cost $US25,000 ($A32,900) in the West.

Karr is a time bomb, regardless of the Boulder charges.
I note that Boulder authorities are traveling to Los Angeles to question him. CA has outstanding warrants for his arrest, so he will be kept in jail and off the streets for sure.
;-)
Be sure to call your favorite radio program Monday morning... to gloat. :)
I'd prefer not to talk about this on a talk show. I think it's a waste of important air time, really. (That angry guy on the other thread would be happy to hear that, eh?) ;-)
The only reason I would call is if the people are talking about it again and are getting the story wrong. I'd feel like I had to correct them.
Of course you have to correct them!
You know what I mean.
:-)
Ha ha ha ha ha.
Go ahead...lol.
Talking about sex changes makes me weary.
;-)
Good night, good lady.
I just posted on another thread I was afraid he was going to be a drag queen, for real - and would wear copies of JonBenet's pageant outfits for his act.
Nothing's too bizarre for this guy. I hope he hasn't been doing that already, in fact.
Maybe, maybe not - the CA authorities said they bow to Boulder, since all he had was a misdemeanor in CA.
Still haven't heard what the Santa Rosa problems were about, when they kicked him out for something having to do with controlled substances and minors. Perhaps Jesus Juice, like his idol, MJ.
Ha ha, I'm thinking of that bad-singing Asian guy of "She Bangs" fame, thinking "He vamps, he vamps, oh, baby, when he moves, he vamps" - as far as JMK.
He was arrested in April 2001 in Sonoma County, California, on five misdemeanor charges of possessing child pornography.
Santa Rosa is in Sonoma County.
Yeah, but these are totally different reports. It's in some school board minutes. I'll find it and post it.
Note also that his momma's name is Patricia, like he called Patsy when talking about mailing things to her. Of course, it's also JonBenet's middle name.
And get this - his grandmother's name was Marietta, like the town where JonBenet is buried.
Okie dokie.
LOL...
Here:
No, wait, just read through it. This isn't the right one. Back to my notes. This one for posterity. I'll find the other one. This was the final one, after the others.

I hope this is the perp but it looks more and more like this guy is just a freaky faggot nutcase.
