They aren't hiding their intentions of attacking Israel again soon with the help of Iran. This war certainly made them more brazen on their comments. It's pretty much all on the table as to what is next.

Iran is busily manufacturing as many (of these apparently successful) anti-tank missiles as possible and building as many smuggling networks as possible.

The sh!t will really hit the fan the day the Palis in Gaza or the West-Bank take out a Merkava with one of these new missiles.

Only a decisive blow with overwhelming military force should have been used to defeat Hezbollah.

Now we have emboldened Hezbos and Hamas and their ilk to strike at Israel again. And Iran, with Russia and China has their weapons suppliers, and the North Koreans, is the puppet master.

All we have done in the West is kicked the can down the field. We have to prepare for war with Iran and Syria.

They have been the real enemy for thirty years. It's time we get our act together.

This is a mere breather or time out in history. This is not peace.

We have had sixty years of relative peace here, interrupted only by 9/11/01 on our shores.

The battle with Islamic fascism will be a severe challenge to the survival of our country and culture. We may lose a major American city to a nuclear explosion, an EMF attack, or a bio-chemical attack. But if we don't fight these SOBs into submission our grandchildren will be fighting them or serving them.

"We learned from Hizbullah that the tools that make a difference are missiles. If achieve expertise in this field, we won't make do with the simple rockets we have. There is no doubt that we can subdue Israel ," Abu Nasser, a commander in the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, Fatah's military wing, told Ynet.

Learning the wrong lesson is worse than failing to learn a lesson at all.

I wonder what lesson Europe has learned from the last month? If it's the reasonable an logical one, Israel should have no problem fixing her 58-year old problem next time.

Even Jews cannot be expected to have infinite patience.

What Abu Nasty should be aware of is that knocking off the IDF is not the same as murdering women and children, which is then only thing he really knows from personal experience.

I wish I were as optimistic as others. The problem as I see it, or at least a big part of it, is the Left in Israel. These nuts seem to be in power and the people themselves (well... they elected them!) as in the U.S. seem to be getting lazier and complacent... hoping to find a reasonable enemy willing to "negotiate." They want to be "nice," hoping the arab nuts return in kind. That is what i think is the BIG problem is. They lost touch with reality and lost the will. They have forgotten how much they are hated and that can be a huge mistake.

I wonder, how is it Israel did not take advange of this opportunity to kicked hizbullah out of existance once and for all?... What could they possibly had been thinking?

The Israelis aren't the only ones who can learn the wrong lessons from a war.

The Israelis tried to learn from US operations in Iraq, by avoiding deep penetrations that would allow the Hezbollah to attack their flanks and supply lines. That explained the Israeli frontal attacks on Hezbollah built up areas, and the lack of supply forces for the forward fighters.

This approach kept Israel from using their mobility advantage to cut off the Hezbollah, and prevent them from withdrawing.

The Israelis are about to field new missile defense forces. The Arabs will be behind again.
