You are missing the original point. It does not matter to the al-MSM whether someone is well known or not. They will make them well known if it suits their politics and will ignore others, well known or not, if it suits their views. They do not like Gibson mainly because of the Passion of the Christ movie.
Remember Trent Lott? Remember a few years back what a ruckus the al-MSM made because of a joke he made at a birthday party for Strom Thurmond?? Do you remember?
That story lasted weeks and I will bet you that most of the peeples had no idea who Trent Lott was. But, the al-MSM MADE IT A BIG STORY because he was a REPUBLICAN.
If Andrew Young were a Republican, you can bet your bottom dollar this would be plastered all over the news for days, no matter how people knew who he was.
As far as the Hillary statement, I remember that and I remember how quickly it disappeared and how there were no demands from the al-MSM for Hillary to apologize, to get counseling, to resign, etc. Why? Because at that time it did not suit the al-MSM to keep the story going because she is a DeathoCrat.
Bottom line: My original question stands and was meant to show the hypocrisy of the al-MSM - How will the al-MSM treat this story compared to the Mel Gibson story (I already know the answer).

Most sheeple didn't/still don't know who Trent Lott is, and wouldn't care anyway. He said something kindly meant at Sen. Strom Thurman's birthday party and was forced to resign his Senate majority leadership position soon afterward.
That was so hypocritically funny because ol' Strom was never in the KKK, unlike dear ol' Democrat Sen Robert Byrd who has admitted for years that he was a KKK Kleagle (paid KKK recruiter) in the 1940s.
For pure hypocrisy you can't beat our Dem MSM because here is the Democrat Minority Senate Democrat Leader, Sen. Robert Byrd, 88 years old, and now serving his 8th 6 year term as Senator, and his West Virginian racist past is swept under the same MSM carpet that's still soaked with water from Chappaquiddick Ted after all these years. Seriously, just try for a minute to imagine a Republican that admitted to being a KKK Kleagle in the 1940's, and is still in the U.S. Senate as the Democratic leader, and is still saying things on TV like this in 2001:
