""We would not hesitate to take every kind of measures when our security is at stake," Abdullah Gul, the Turkish foreign minister, said last week."So, Turkey is a supporter of Israel's effort in Lebanon, right?

We should arm the Kurds out the wazoo and see how Iran likes a pro-U.S. Hezbollah on its borders. Reagan would have. Bush's cajones dried up after Saddam was deposed and Omert never had any.
Precarious times for freedom and for Israel. They need a man like Netanyahu, and we need a Pres. like we had from 2001-2004.
Very dark clouds are looming and neither America or Israel are ready.

Scores of Kurds have fled their homes in the northern frontier region after four days of shelling by the Iranian army. Local officials said Turkey had also fired a number of shells into Iraqi territory. Iran is atacking Iraq?

Blame the Russkies! They are the dirty culprits that smuggled Iraq's WMDs out to Syria. Thereby giving rise to DemonRAT antiwar chats, "Bush lied, people died!" Everything taking place in the Middle East is Russia's fault. The cold war is reasserting itself through former KGB Chief Putin. The Russkies sold these new antitank missiles to Iran. Ahmadinejad supplied Hezbollah with them to knock out Israeli tanks. I have news for the White House: Putin is not our friend. No argument here, except the blame is Bush's now becaue of his lack of pr and information. He let John Kerry lie about classified stuff during the debates. He lets all of these lies go on and on and on. He has played "being Presidential" into the ground. He needs to talk to us, tell us why the world is messed up, and tell everyone where these dang weapons are coming from. Iran can't make dinner, let alone munitions. They have to buy it. While China and Russia are selling this stuff, Bush is meeting with them at fancy dinners and holding press conferences. This is nuts. What gain is there in keeping classified the location of the WMD's at this point? How big does the next attack have to be for us to wake up?

That's a pretty shade of lipstick that Kerry is wearing in that picture.

I see that you have been maintaining your unblemished record of posting short and
patently vapid responses to every thread. You are acting more like a troll mole everyday, dakine.

We should arm the Kurds out the wazoo...???
NO! We should not encourage Kurdish separtists, much less arm them.
Here's a link, from our friends at "discoverthenetworks"
One murderous Kurd
Please read this carefully, before saying we should arm the Kurds, generally, before it's clear that arms won't be used by the PKK to foment war in the area.
IF we or anyone else arms the PKK at this time, it won't be doing anyone any favors --- including many Kurdish people, themselves.
Instead, it should be made clear that if PKK "soldiers" commit acts of war on their neighbors, they stand a strong chance of bringing great misery down upon their heads.
We don't back Hezbollah as an entity within a government (in that case, the government of Lebanon). Why should do anything that would result in us backing the PKK?

Visible chess moves are going on all around the ME right now.
This is not surprising.
Some of the major players are still in observation mode. Someone will make a wrong move soon.

They are trying to get the Kurds to attack Iran which would be used as the pretense for wider attacks during their 'missle tests' starting on the 18th and lasting 5 days and their Aug 22nd annoucnement of either A)They are offically going for nukes or B)They already have a nuke.

Now that the world has forced Israel into a cease-fireIsrael forced itself into a cease fire thanks to Olmert's bungling. If you're going to place blame, at least place it where even the Israeli people are placing it.

Good point. Olmert is Israel's Jimmy Carter. That, he is. Only worse, because Israel can't afford that kind of bungling.
