Yes ... I agree that's a very real possibility. Time will tell.

When the DNA doesn't match, it'll be all over. And That's what I'm betting will happen.

The chin, cheekbones, nose, mouth, ears, and nose don't match at all.

I think the nose in particular, and also the eyes/eyebrows are a very close match.

Chloroform is available online apparently to anyone and certainly to teachers for science projects.

Sort of/kind of, but not when the face is taken as a whole and the shape of the face, chin and cheekbones, mouth and ears are all wrong.

They knew where he was living and working and have been watching him for months. Wouldn't it have been extremely easy to get a DNA sample from either location? I wonder if they already have one.

It is a bogus confession...although it will take a month for the DA to prove that part. The guy is simply a nut. He read alot and knows more about the murder than the typical guy on the street. Thats really it...nothing else. Its an amusing story which we can laugh about in a couple of months and wonder how the public bought his story hook....line....and sinker.

I don't know how "easy" it would have been to get some of his DNA. I rather doubt that they have any.....yet, but they might.

Wouldn't it be funny if the police used his obsession with Jonbenet, just to get him back to the states, so that he could at last be prosecuted for the child porn stuff?

The police should arrest this media whore...

Professor Michael Tracey came to CU in 1988 from England, where he was head of the Broadcasting Research Unit in London, Britain's leading think tank dealing with media issues.

He is currently researching and writing two books dealing with aspects of what he terms "the injustice of the American justice system."

******

Tracey, 58, produced a controversial documentary in 1998 that challenged the presumption of the parents' guilt and took the media to task for coverage of the case.

First broadcast in Great Britain, the documentary later was seen in the United States. An interview with the Ramseys was the centerpiece of a CBS 48 Hours broadcast focusing on JonBenet's murder.

"That little girl kind of took over my life, certainly professionally," Tracey said.

He still works, as he has since 1988, as director of the University of Colorado's Center for Mass Media Research.

But the murder case preoccupies his time as a subject in his journalism classes, as a book he is beginning to write, and as another documentary that was broadcast in the United Kingdom last summer. Plans to broadcast an expanded form of that second documentary in the United States were put on hold after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

Tracey's career took a different path after he wrote a commentary, for the Boulder Daily Camera, critical of the media's handling of the case.

"I've written eight or nine books, but that little op-ed piece that took 45 minutes did more to shift my life than anything else," he said. "It's kind of weird, really. It's been the most interesting professional experience in my life by a factor of 10."

Ramsey lawyer Bryan Morgan contacted him about the piece and said Patsy Ramsey might be willing to speak to one of his classes. She never did, but their discussions led to the interview with John and Patsy Ramsey contained in the first documentary.

"It took off from there," Tracey said. "To be honest, who thought they'd say yes to an interview with two people they don't know. They were suspects in a murder and facing the death penalty for all anyone knew at the time."

The case became the focus of his career and remains so.

New Documentary On Ramsey Case Produced By CU-Boulder Professor Michael Tracey To Air On National TV
Dec. 7, 2004

New evidence in the 1996 JonBenet Ramsey murder case is examined in "Who Killed the Pageant Queen? Suspects" a documentary by Professor Michael Tracey of the University of Colorado at Boulder School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

The documentary will air on the CBS show "48 Hours Mystery" on Dec. 18 and on Court Television in January.

According to Tracey, a new team of investigators has uncovered dramatic new evidence about the murder, resulting in the identification of a key suspect.

"This compelling evidence points to a new way of thinking about who it was that actually killed JonBenet," Tracey said. "Previously, media leaks about the evidence and absurd theories as to how JonBenet died helped to convince the public that the parents did it. A whole new theory of who should have been investigated - but was not - is at the forefront of the investigation reported in the documentary."

Carol McKinley: Many forensic document examiners have given their opinions as to who wrote the note. But the only one to testify before a grand jury in the case was Chet Ubowski, forensic document examiner for the Colorado Bureau of Investigation. Out of 100 people he analyzed for the Boulder Police Department, he found ONLY ONE person whom he thought may have authored the document, Patsy Ramsey. Investigative sources tell Fox News that the disguised letters and bleeding ink from the felt tipped pen used to write the note kept him from 100 percent ID of Mrs. Ramsey

Colorado University Journalism Professor Michael Tracey’s Latest Ramsey Documentary Exposed by
Forums for Justice.org

An innocent man, a man who was never a suspect in the JonBenet Ramsey case according to the Boulder District Attorney’s office, was fingered as the “Prime Suspect” by C.U. Journalism Professor Michael Tracey in his latest Ramsey documentary.

On June 16, 2004, Michael Tracey's latest JonBenet Ramsey documentary entitled "Who Killed the Pageant Queen?" aired in Great Britain. Not only is this documentary filled with errors, it also falsely implicates a man who wasn't even in the state of Colorado at the time of the JonBenet Ramsey murder.

Thanks to Michael Tracey’s showing of John Steven Gigax’s police record, with his case number clearly in view, the people who saw the show might actually think Mr. Gigax had something to do with the murder of JonBenet Ramsey.

However, there are serious problems with Tracey’s documentary. Mr. Gigax wasn’t even living in the state of Colorado at the time of the murder. On December 25/26, 1996, Mr. Gigax was with a large number of family and friends in a state far away from Colorado. Tom Bennett of the Boulder D.A’s office told Mr. Gigax he was never a suspect and the Boulder D.A was never looking for him to question him. A call by a Forums for Justice.org representative confirmed, through Tom Bennett, the same information.

Forums for Justice.org will be posting information concerning Michael Tracey's attempt, along with Ramsey private detective Ollie Grey, to once again accuse an innocent man of murdering JonBenet Ramsey.

This time, Tracey and Grey were caught red handed lying to the people of Great Britain.

Forums for Justice.org has all the facts and will be presenting them to you soon. Please check back often for updates.

Under Pressure

In the late spring of 1998, I heard about a journalism professor at the University of Colorado named Michael Tracey who was making a documentary about how the tabloids had corrupted the judicial process in the Ramsey case. Globe editor Joe Mullins forbade me to call Tracey under any circumstances, but I did anyway. When I told Tracey that I felt John Ramsey had been wronged by the tabloids, he started a crusade to bring me out from the dark side and join his fight against the tabs.

That summer I found myself contemplating Tracey's offer to help vindicate John Ramsey by working with him on his documentary.

I decided that taking on the tabs was worth the risk. In mid-January, I delivered my tapes to CBS' "48 Hours" via one very pleased Professor Michael Tracey.

I don't know, but I think they must have something besides his confession to get DHS and the Feds involved. They wouldn't extradite on a whim. The US warrant at this point is still sealed and the DA won't release any details. Amazing--they tracked this guy all over Asia and followed him for 21 days in Bangkok, arrested him there as well-- with NO leaks!

From the early reports it was stated that he knew things that have never been released by the BDP or investigators. Of course, early reports also said that they had a DNA match, so who knows. They are also looking at his possible involvement in another case in California.

His resume really creeped me out with all the talks of bathing the children. EW, EW, EW!

Two key witnesses in the JonBenét Ramsey investigation have asked the University of Colorado to investigate a CU professor over allegations of "gross professional incompetence."

The two, Fleet and Priscilla White, accuse professor Michael Tracey of trying to build public support for JonBenét's parents, who are under suspicion in the 6-year-old's death.

Tracey's documentary, originally titled "JonBenét's America" and initially aired in England, featured a rare interview with John and Patsy Ramsey.

Despite Tracey's claims that the film wouldn't be shown locally until after a Boulder County grand-jury inquest, a Denver television aired the documentary about a month before the panel convened to hear evidence in the slaying.

"Mr. Tracey was attempting to deflect suspicion from the Ramseys on the eve of the grand jury investigation," the Whites wrote.

The Whites urged university officials to examine Tracey's "commercially beneficial arrangement with the prime suspects in an ongoing murder investigation."

"Please be assured that we will not remain silent in this matter," the Whites wrote. "We have enormous incentive to prevent Mr. Tracey or anyone else from improperly influencing the investigation of JonBenét's murder."

Michael Tracey, a CU journalism professor who worked on three JonBenet Ramsey documentaries, is writing a new book, “Shoes: The Killing of JonBenet Ramsey.”

He promises readers “access to a body of evidence no one else has seen.”

He was not in jail. He just started a new job teaching school.

So when did he confess -- before he was arrested? He confessed after he was arrested and placed in jail right?

That's correct. At the very least this man is sick and is obsessed with JonBenet. Apparently he was also obsessive about the Polly Klaas case. He tried to talk to Richard Davis, the scum who murdered Polly. I think he also tried to talk to Marc Klaas.

Lock him up and throw away the key. He should never be around children again. He seems to be obsessed with little girls. It's a blessing that he has three boys.

The guy's a sicko, but it sounds more and more like he's lying about this particular murder. I wouldn't mind seeing him sent to gen pop anyway though.
