'Taliban' was a group of religious fanatics. I don't know how much these people are Taliban by that definition or just traditional Afghan bandits doing what they have always done - robbing, pillaging, and being mercenaries for whoever the headman made a deal with. If the later, then we should at least consider negotiations. That does not mean we have to accept terms that are not advantageous to us.
