An airport terminal in Huntington, West Virginia has been evacuated after explosives tests on two containers in a woman's luggage came up positive.
The containers were seen in the woman's hand luggage and subjected to swab tests and sniffer dog examinations, both of which gave positive results.
Officials say the woman is of Pakistani origin and was travelling on a one-way ticket to Charlotte, North Carolina.
She has been detained and is now being questioned by FBI officials.
'Highly sensitive'
According to the woman's travel documents she is from Jackson, Michigan and was born in 1978.

Chris Yates from Jane's Aviation told the BBC that both the swab and sniffer dog tests were extremely sensitive.
The likelihood that a container that had not come into contact with explosives would come up positive on both tests was extremely low, he said.
The containers have been moved to a remote area by robot for further tests, Tri-State Airport director Larry Salyers said.
About 100 passengers have been affected by the evacuation, airport officials say.
Bob Aaron from local TV station WCHS-TV is at the scene, and he told the BBC that security at the small regional airport is not very sophisticated, relying on a few security screeners.
The incident comes a week after UK intelligence officers say they foiled a plot to blow up planes using liquid explosives.
This is the second security alert at US airports in as many days.
On Wednesday a United Airlines passenger jet flying from London to Washington was diverted and escorted to Boston after an on-board disturbance.
Thailand?
Huh ? There was no mention of Thailand
Hmm, American-born female of Pakistani origin. 28 years old, raised in good ole Michigan. And she's grown up to be a jihad suicide bomber.
I've got a bad feeling this is just the tip of the iceberg.
There is another thread on this, been following it all afternoon.
Those nasty Amish again. No profiling, please, we're modern.
I searched... what's the link?
Several important things to remember: 1. Not all people from Pakistan are Moslems, 2. Not all Moslems "bury" the dead, 3. As we found out from walking around in a graveyard for several hours, residue found in graveyards will set off the bomb sniffing machines.
Don't be surprised to see this story disappear.
You could be right but they sound pretty sure it's a bomb. Also, everybody from Pakistan might not be Moslem, but 97% of them are so I'd have to say the odds are pretty good this woman's Moslem too.
FReegards.
"On Wednesday a United Airlines passenger jet flying from London to Washington was diverted and escorted to Boston after an on-board disturbance."
There are a couple threads that look into that "disturbance". Turns out the woman has several political/personal columns posted on the Internet.
She has had a long history with Pakistan inluding a Pakistani fiancee, and in one column from years ago talks about the prayer rug and compass pointing toward Mecca that she'd setup in her hotel room.
Quite the whacko and also an apparent quasi-Muslim.
They put down a lot of deodorizing stuff in graveyards, and they fertilize everything that's still alive ~ constantly! Then, there are the flowers from everywhere ~ semipreserved for long shelf life with strange chemistry.
Most people are unaware of what a chemical stew a graveyard can be ~ and scooping up ashes to "take back home" is going to give you a motherload of even more chemicals.
The TSA people are absolutely correct about how sensitive their tests are, particularly to fertilizer, oil and various petroleum compounds.
They almost confiscated our shoes a couple of years back.
Sounds like she's a Moslem. Did she do anything strange with that compass?
I have had a piece of luggage test positive for explosives before before boarding. They told me that a lot of lotions can cause a false positive.
Like I said, you could be right. Unless the story gets buried we should find out soon one way or the other.
That's right mom, false positives happen. Even if it's a false alarm, kudos to the security people at a small airport for being alert.
Absolutely, that was my first thought.
Think maybe they saw a "Middle Eastern Woman" and paid a little closer attention?
Dammed racist profiling. Makes no sense at all, eh!/sarcasm
LOL! Definitely a "location" joke.
She was traveling from Michigan to Charlotte?
Someone else may have packed her bags for her,
and THEY may have come in contact with explosives.
I imagine they will be looking at her contacts at home
pretty closely.
