Since then, Lieberman has widened his lead - now 49% to 38 percent, Schlesinger 4% .
Now that this race is among registered voters of all voting persuasions it appears that Liebermnan has solidified his and widened his lead.
Since the Democratic primary, Lieberman has gone from 46% to 49%, and Lamont has dropped from 41% to 38%.
Looks like Lamont's mo has vaporised...
If this is true, that's good.
But I'm gonna hold off and wait for another poll to hopefully back up those numbers.
Yep, it appears that Lamont's mo has vaporised.
I heard on the Sean Hannity show today that Democrats are really steaming mad now at lieberman for going Independent.
LOL.
"Ask not for whom the bell tolls..."
That's the funniest sentence in the whole story.
MEMO to AP: NED LAMONT WON THE CT PRIMARY!
FOTFLOL!
His appearance on the weekend talking heads show probably didn't impress many lucid Connecticut residence who watched it. I wouldn't buy a used car from that guy.
Dont worry Ned, gigilo is throwing his support behind you, you're a sure fire winner, lol, did I mention gigilo was in Viet Nam, yeah, he was!
It's good that the AP is trying to spin things in favor of Lamont. It'll keep the moonbat money going toward his hopeless cause.
Half of Daily Kosland is wetting their diapers and the other half is saying not to believe in polls. Try telling them that when THEIR guy is ahead.
Would it be possible (legal) for Schlesinger to drop out in favor of a competitive Republican candidate? I would sure like to have a real race given that Lieberman is, contrary to the Lamonters' delusions, no conservative. For example, I would think Nancy Johnson could have a chance in a three-way race and would be better in the Senate than Lieberman (who I believe has ACU ratings worse than the worst RINOs, such as Arlen the Specter, Olympia Snowe, Chafee, et al.).
All Lieberman has to do is keep those numbers and he will win this thing.
Don't they actually have the 4th candidate from Green party? Why isn't his name in the poll? I believe Joe's number would be higher...

What the AP fails to tell (nah, they aren't trying to spin this. They wouldn't do that, would they?) is that that July 20 Quinnipiac poll was taken before Lamont won the primary. After the primary, according to an August 9-10 Rassmussenreports poll, Lieberman led Lamont 46% to 41%, with Schlesinger garnering 6%. I see why you call this spin, but in surfing through a half dozen sites that list polls for the CT race, the July 20th poll is the last one that polled all three men as leader of three different parties. I'd say both polls are correct (or as correct as they come), but I certainly agree that Lieberman is increasing his lead over Lamont. The liberals are going to be wetting their pants in another couple of weeks. These polls are going to be a huge embarrassment for them and essentially free advertising for Lieberman and the GOP in general. It's going to be a very loud statement that 52% of screwballs in the primary wanted Lamont, but the majority of sound-minded people prefer Joe when it really counts. |
I was gonna say- I heard that poll as well...so how the hell is Ned gaining support???
13:28...13:27...13:26...
His time is ticking away.
If you don't believe the world is turned upside down, consider. Conservative talk show hosts are all beating the drum for Joe Lieberman, a lifelong, dedicated socialist who has voted the straight liberal line for his entire career.
This nice gentlemen wants to take your money, freedoms and liberty in the name of the state. He favors every liberal idea that comes down the pike except for his position on the war on terrorism.
And that puts him opposite Lamont whose father, Corliss Lamont, was one of the largest fund raisers for Stalin and the cause of international communism. Roots.
According to this poll Lamont leads Schlessinger among Republicans by 13% to 10% (http://www.quinnipiac.edu/x11362.xml?ReleaseID=948). Does any one understand this?
A month ago, Rasmussen had the two tied at 40% each and Republican Alan Schlesinger was 13%.
Looks like Joe has the Big Mo!
