LOL!
I didn't have nine, for a variety of reasons beyond my control, but I did make it to three - and I one time had a woman my own age (late 20s at that time) come up to me while I was with my kids in a park in San Francisco and start berating me for "cluttering up the world" with children. When I lived on the West Coast, I would get comments like that all the time. I bet you got them, too; heck, the woman would have had an apoplectic fit and died if she'd seen you with your 9!
I went to my high school reunion last year and discovered that most of my classmates, it seems, had up to three children apiece. I felt happy about it, and I used to think more than two per couple was irresponsible. What a world I once lived in, where you could view offspring as "cluttering up the world."
