No need for that, her opinion is not the final say on the matter.

I wondering why she overturned higher precedent.

"She entered Yale University Law School and earned her law degree in 1957. After graduation she could not find a job in a private law firm due to the prejudices against African Americans and women."

Proof of this statement? In Connecticut and/or the rest of New England?

Although Taylor is a liberal with Democratic roots and defended civil-rights workers in the South in the 1960s, people who know her say she will follow the law -- not her politics -- in deciding the case.

LMBO!!!
This scumbag is told what to do by her party masters, and so she did what they told her to do..

This wasn't unexpected and even as she has done this it will be overturned by the U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals.

I think we should get a pool going on how long it takes - I'm taking 6 pm Eastern Time today.

The American Civil Liberties Union filed the lawsuit on behalf of journalists, scholars and lawyers who say the program has made it difficult for them to do their jobs. They believe many of their overseas contacts are likely targets of the program...

I wonder why they are likely targets? It must be so difficult to do their jobs when they can't contact their oversea terrorists friends.

This ruling is just more proof of one basic fact:

Michigan SUCKS!!!!!

But what can you expect from a commie BLUE state like Michigan? If it wasn't for RED states like Ohio, Kerry would be President.

That's OK -- this ruling from Michigan will be sh*tcanned by the Ohio-Based 6th Circuit Court of Appeals just like that school up north will be sh*tcanned once again when they show up in C-Bus this fall.

We don't give a damn for the whole State of Michigan
whole State of Michigan
whole State of Michigan
We don't give a damn for the whole State of Michigan

We are from O-HI-O!!!!

On the other hand, the Browns are so desperate for centers I understand they've placed a call to a former Wolverine to come to camp, but Gerald Ford wasn't interested.

Now what do we do? This ruling can affect my right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. This ruling has put at risk my very Life. I am truly threatened by our own legel system's inability to protect the American public.

As far as the ACLU's statement, "The ACLU said the state-secrets argument was irrelevant because the Bush administration already had publicly revealed enough information about the program for Taylor to rule." How the heck would they know if sufficient information was presented publically to rule or not. This is the blind leading the blind to our very death!

I very much feel we have domestic enemy's out to over throw our way of life. When judges start ruling the rights of the few, trump the right to life of us all, we are truly in mortal danger.

Kennedy would be the swing vote and he is a good friend of ultra liberal Lawrence Tribe.

Kennedy has his quarks on several issues, but usually has some sense of reason.

Federal Judges ruled lots of stuff that Lincoln did unconstitutional too. This is a national crisis. The President should assert hid prerogative to ignore the judge.

I just got finished reading the ruling and this judge states that she's sure the plaintiffs suffered damage but she can't award them anything other than the program being suspended because "they don't have standing". If these plaintiffs didn't have standing for damage awards then they shouldn't have had standing for the case to be heard in this judge's court.
