Update: Judge ordered immediate halt to the program.
A federal judge ruled Thursday that the government's warrantless wiretapping program is unconstitutional and ordered an immediate halt to it.

==Right now Scalia is probably thinking, with reference to Judge Taylor, "Bring it on!"==
Exactly. The fed. judge ruling is just the first step of this issue most likely going up to the Supremes.

I don't think he should just ignore them, that is a very dangerous precedent to set.I don't agree with the ruling, but I do agree with your statement.

And if the 6th Circuit doesn't overturn, then SCOTUS will.

Well? Has the Administration filed a motion at higher court to vacate this ruling pending additional review? Why does the Adminstration never seem to be prepared for these things?

Why is it we never heard Republican former presidents travelling the world flapping their gums?

How do you know the administration is/was unprepared for this or any other ruling?

Sikhs don't carry scimitars. They bear a small knife as a symbol of baptism - can't remember the name of it.

America does not have the will to survive. That's what this will mean to me, if this stands.
I want to hear what Mark Levin has to say about this.

They will. The good news is, though, that the Dems just took another shot to the bow while this works its way up the judicial food chain. It's reminding Americans again why electing 'Rats and RINOs won't do if we're serious about fighting and winning the WOT.

The Government can't win as long as there is judge shopping and that's exactly what happened here. They filed hundreds of lawsuits around the country but held on to the ones that bagged liberal judges then dumped the rest. If President Bush was to work within this corrupt judicial system then right now our national security is over because he can't even listen to the terrorist until the appeal. If I was a terrorist overseas I would be activating my cells in this country right now.

And if the 6th Circuit doesn't overturn, then SCOTUS will. It will be close, especially with Ginsberg, Breyer, Souter, and Stevens being the pro-ACLU and terrorist bloc.
Kennedy would be the swing vote and he is a good friend of ultra liberal Lawrence Tribe.

sorry,

Perhaps you mean something more like Columnam quintam esse delendam.
