No kidding, question in a Canadian National Newspaper. I'd support a safe injection site - it's called prison.

People do drugs - then they commit crimes to support their habit - they get off for said crimes because they were not "liable" and we want to give them safe injection sites out of concern for their health? Right /sarc

Wish I could give you a link- about a decade ago, Ken Hamblin did an expose' of "safe" injection sites in the US. It's a fraud, a scam, and a hotbed of crime.

Safe injection sites include the fatty inside part of the thigh, the muscles on either side of the buttocks, or the inside of the upper arm. This information is well known to every diabetic.

I've always like the description 'Canada's Unnatural Newspaper' for the pompous & relentlessly politically correct Mope & Wail.

Drug addiction, alcoholism and all other "isms" are diseases and, tut tut, the bleeding hearts trip all over themselves to compassionately deal with the problem.

Yet smoking, which is another addiction which can be just as difficult to kick as drug addition, and one which is supposed to be just as deadly to smokers (and the poor soul walking past someone having a cigarette outside in -10 degree weather) gets no such compassion. Smokers are pariahs. Smokers don't get 28 day inpatient rehab treatment. Smokers are just pushed to regions further and further away from the rest of humanity as though they were lepers.
