A visitor to our site was kind enough to point out that Snopes.com has determined that the following popular e-mail article was not written by General Chong. In fact, the General had received this essay himself and like many others, found it worthy of forwarding on to friends and family. It was from that action that his name became attributed as the author of the item.

According to Snopes.com this was written by a retired attorney, to his sons, May 19, 2004 and was originally entitled "THE WORLD SITUATION — A LETTER TO MY SONS"

A "moderate moslem" or a "rational moslem" or a "worth-a shit" moslem does not exist. Islam is not a religion. It is a cult of death. Their remedy for anything that offends them is to kill someone.Their habit of gleefully becoming suicide bombers and turning their children into bombs to kill even their own people demonstrates that they have managed to multiply their numbers without ever having become civilized. Like cockroaches, extermination is the only solution. They are unable to interact honestly with anyone who is civilized. We need to be aware that there no parallels between the attempted extermination that was the Holocaust and the need to rid the world of moslems. Jews never declared war on the civilized world. The American people should oppose Islam. However, the British are not cousins; a war was fought for full separation (the United States is not Canada, Australia, or any other Commonwealth nation). They are close friends who happen to have a lot of common values and ethics as Americans--albeit on account, partially, of a common history.

As for France, although an estimated ten percent, not twenty, is Muslim (the French do not keep records of religion in their census; part of their secular country thing), they are a very proud people--which is partially why Americans and French have such a rivalry--both countries tend to be proud and consider their country as number one. The French pride could push the French into actually taking some action.

The succumbing fast to the Germans in World War 2 was one bit of French history, there were also times of bravery. France has already threatened to use its nuclear deterrent.
