Maybe Ward wanted so much money that Yates said fine if you bring a money pot?

Could be. But I'm thinking that Ward just wants a ride - real bad like. Money would be a concern, sure, but not THE 'show stopper' type concern.

Just my take on things.

Just proves when you have a good setup and good engines you can be competitive no matter what your age is.

Jeremy would agree.

Assuming you were not watching the Busch race --

According to the TNT pit reporters, Junior wants to drive more Busch races because it helps his Cup driving. He has asked Budweiser for permission to drive more NBS races next year, and the sponsor gave the go ahead.

Now he is asking DEI for permission to drive his own cars in NBS, and believes DEI will give him the permission.

Boy, boy, boy. What a finish to the Busch race!

So, let me get this straight, during the last two laps, racing for the win, if the leader in front of you get's loose, you are supposed to let up on the throttle?

Yeah, right!

I know some of you are going to call me a biased Junior fan, but I am not! I am a fan of the Bud #8, which makes Junior my driver. I like Flipper as much as I like Junior, if not more.

The finish was clean.

I know some of you are going to call me a biased Junior fan,

Ok, you are a biased Junior fan.

Actually, the only dumb / stupid thing I saw was when Flipper came back out on the track and whacked Jr. Did you see the in-car shot of that from Jr's car? Scared the crap out of him. Said later, "had my hand out the window..."

Not smart on Flipper's part.

Too bad Robby G did not finish second.

Good race, for a Busch race!

Jr DID have his hand out the window and Opie needs to be penalized for coming back on the track and hitting him. He could have unjured him permanently.

Jr released McFarland from driving the 88 because he wasn't passionate enough to win, Robby and Jr showed what passion to win is today!!

Opie couldn't keep his car from wiggling loose around in front of the 8 and he bumped him.

Yep that's it, he finally has rights to his own name. Now he needs permission as to which seat he can place his butt.

I think we just saw proof that there was nothing wrong with the #88 car, except the driver.

Actually, I was really hoping that Robby G would win that race! Somebody made the comment, "Well, YOU hired him to drive it!" and drive it he did. Lol

I don't blame Jr at all. What did Flipper expect Jr to do? He had to know, after (and Flipper was funny about it, "Yea, we broke something - traction!") losing it, that Jr would have a good head of steam coming off the corner.

I remember a certain Bud Shootout when Jr gave another car a push like that. :-)

Jr is not a wreckless driver. Did you see the after race interview when he said, "I'm sure the fans are going to be divided over this one" ?

Good by me. I'm sure Jr will be relieved to know that! Lol

From Budweiser, right?

Yea, he gets his name back but the sponsor is still pulling the strings. Sad.

The race was pretty much caution filled and those last laps made it worth the price of admission.

I think Carl is going to be sorry he hit the drivers side door of the 8 like he did. We'll find out, maybe even before tomorrow. He does start in the row behind Jr tomorrow, I hope he's settled down by then.

My tagline is what Jr said in VL to ESPN.

I too was rooting for Robby!!

"I know he has a right to be upset, but if I were him I wouldn't have gone into someone else's victory lane and make an ass of himself," Earnhardt, Jr. said afterward.

What respect I had for Baby Earnhardt went out the window that that move and his "aw shucks" attitude afterward. Jr is a pu$$y!!!

So was this like Flash bumping Robot out the way at Chicago?
I missed the race. I was watching golf and Cubs. EVERYTIME I flipped over to TNT for the race, it was either YELLOW or Commercials...serieously...with 17 laps left, I fergot about it.
