Ms. Magazine Presses, Pro-Lifers Wash
When Ms. Magazine was launched in 1972, it pressed for abortion-on-demand. Ms. got its wish shortly thereafter with the U.S. Supreme Court's infamous Roe v. Wade ruling. Forty-five million abortions later, Ms. is still not satisfied. They are now calling for abortion everywhere to be "safe, legal and accessible." Note the significant difference between accessible and rare. "Safe, legal and rare" was Bill and Hillary Clinton's mantra back in 1992. When Mrs. Clinton later put forth her nationalized health care scheme, it would have required the 89 percent of U.S. counties that do not have abortion facilities to provide them. Accessible trumped rare. Ms. Magazine trumpeted their 500,000 subscribers in 1988.
Recent recruitment for interns by Ms., however, lists the magazine's circulation at 200,000. Perhaps their readers are heeding Ms.'s message. Contrast Ms.'s culture of death promotion with the vital young people who are promoting a pro-life "Wash for Life" for September 16th. These young people, all born after and despite Roe, are offering charity car washes to benefit local Pregnancy Care Centers. "Wash for Life is connecting youth with the means of directly helping women choose life. We applaud their efforts," says former FRCer Kristin Hansen who is now a vice president of Care Net, a thriving national network of non-profit pregnancy care providers.
Students Get Creative for a Cause
Nationwide Wash for Life to Take Place September 16th
This year a group of college students from Thomas Aquinas College in Southern California are giving their summer to help support women facing unplanned pregnancies by...washing cars?
That's right! These six inspiring students have dedicated their time and resources to organize a nationwide, student-led carwash that will benefit local pregnancy centers. Their goal is to have 2,000 groups hold car washes across the U.S. in order to raise $1,000,000!

They are now calling for abortion everywhere to be "safe, legal and accessible." Note the significant difference between accessible and rare. "Safe, legal and rare" was Bill and Hillary Clinton's mantra back in 1992. Well, whaddya know. They have finally realized that saying "rare" shows that they know abortion is a bad thing. Not a less good thing, a bad thing. They have now stopped any pretense of walking on the shoulder of the road but have abandoned the straight and narrow completely.

Maybe the missing millions murdered by the abortionists account for the feeling of the "emptiness of world" some or all of us suffer from time to time. :(

Thanks for the Ping, Coleus.
Ping to side-bar media dinosaur death watch topic: Ms Magazine circulation is down from 500K in the 70s to 200K now. And to think that Hearst Publications shut down Victoria magazine in 2003 when circulation was in the 900K range... Old back issues of Victoria are collectibles now and priced higher than their original newsstand prices.
Sigh.

That's why the phrase never made sense to me and is really kind of sick. If a fetus is not a person, if you're just ridding your body of a mass of cells then why does it need to be rare? If abortion isn't murder why does it need to be rare? If abortion is safer than pregnancy why does it need to be rare?
Like you said, they are essentially admitting that it is bad, but at the same time saying they don't care. It's like: "Yeah we know abortion is murder, but darn it we just can't be rearranging our lives for every unexpected child that comes along."
Never believe this "rare" crap. Any time there is a restriction on abortion up for a vote, Hillary Clinton votes against it. EVERY single restriction. How does Hillary intend to make abortion rare if she does this?

No more comments after #13. I guess she has a face that would stop a thread.
