One thing you donks will NEVER REALIZE we are not ALL STUPID LIKE YOU LIBS ARE. We do not drink from the same kool-aid and we can spot a troll donk a mile away. Not even a good attempt here by you. You sign up two days ago and post this. Ha, ha! You have to at least give the troll some credit for not starting the post with the phrase, "As a life-long Republican..."

Geeze...here we go again, discussing Republicans in New England.
Fact:CT is just about the bluest state in the country
Fact:Given the above,Lieberman is the *best* that we can hope for in the state.
Fact:Yes,Lieberman will vote against us 95% of the time, but Lament will vote against us *100%* of the time, including on bills connected with the WOT.

Q: What is the possibility of Joe running as an independent and then rejoining the dems after he wins?
A: About 99.99%

Sorry folks, I dislike Red Ned as much as the rest of you, I am just not into the idea of Joe Loserman either. We do have New England Republicans in the senate, and I see this as a chance to win. Maybe I am wrong.
Ok, everyone thinks it is a bad idea, but you can refrain from the name calling.
To: Sashasasha
Most freepers here do not call Joe "Loserman." That reference is used quite a bit by the kos crowd though.

OK keep it simple there in the NUTMEG state.. Just be glad for Joe Loserman. When he wins this fall, looky at the cateral he'll have with his former Democrat travelers (DODD, Kennerdy, et all)...
Let this play out.

Now I know. I tend to be a reader more than a poster anyway.

Ok, everyone thinks it is a bad idea, but you can refrain from the name calling. You just signed up a couple of days ago and your post is one that a Lament functionary from Marxist Underground might write. That's the profile of all-too-many folks who come here.
That's why some people are suspicious of you.

I think you're wrong. I don't like Lieberman much and Lamont would be an execrable senator (though he's certainly pleasant enough when I've met him socially over the past 15 years or so). That said, however, the bench here in CT of electable conservative Republicans is thin. I would recommend Republicans concentrate our time and money on winning the House races - even RINO Shays is in trouble, but is a whole lot better than Diane Farrell - and basically sit out the Senate race. Let Lieberman and Lamont duke it out, and vote for Lieberman. Get Schleshinger out, even if we don't have an official Republican candidate, just to make sure Lamont does not win.

In otherwords, they are a proxy group for the Democrats to help win Lamont the seat.
No.

Lieberman is heading back to the senate as an independent and he will vote with the republicans most of the time.Boy, you really are living a fantasy if you think Lieberman will vote conservative on anything but the war.
