I was just wondering what was going on with these people as the Brits can only hold them for 26 hours before charging them.

In the UK you can go to a judge for extra time. In the case of terrorists they can be held for up to 28 days but at 7 days have to go before a branch judge for permission and at 14 days before the high court.

Fact is parliament voted down a 90 day holding bill (with juridical review) for such alleged terrorists a only 3 months ago. If this goes tot he wire there will be some red faces - including our Conservative party who voted (mostly) against the measure.
