According to Verifiedvote.com there were no Diebold machines used in Ohio in 2004 election. They were made by five different vendors.

Here in Knox County, TN, a mostly Republican county, we went over to brand new electronic voting machines for the August 3 primary, machines that replaced the old touch screen machines. The ballot was extraordinarily long with many local races and judicial approval elections. Nevertheless, the voters all learned how to operate the new machines and the election went off without any glitches or recount disputes.
