Passing it on..
I'll watch the debate with interest, but unless something changes, I'm voting Gallagher.
Thanks for that Comparison. It was very helpful.
I have recieved a request to post this PDF so it is readable on the thread.. if any FReeper out there is able to scan/save/post as jpg that would help.. I will be able to do it later this afternoon if someone does not beat me to it..
Looking at the pdf file, I'm wondering: is Crist a democrat?
bttt
In 2003, Charlie Crist investigated a Catholic High School for receiving golf balls from the Fla Lottery. You know, separation of church and state. He's such an ACLU liberal, I cannot stand it.
2003 A Catholic News Site:
"2003 November 17 Tallahassee, FLFlorida Attorney General Charlie Crist announced that a Florida State Lottery practice of donating items to a fund-raiser for a Catholic high school would be reviewed to see whether it violates the separation of church and state. Americans United for Separation of Church and State brought the charge. For two years the Florida Lottery supplied 100 packages of golf balls with the lottery logo on them to a charity golf tournament held to raise money for John Paul II Catholic High School."
FV says:
Crist could have turned down the AUSCS but he reviewed 100 PACKAGES OF GOLF BALLS!
So many big cases in Florida. 100 packages of golf balls. LOL Watch out crosses, you're next.
If Charlie Crist will defer to the secularists who push the phony separation of church and state and Crist thinks there is one, Crist is in way over his head to be Governor.
He's in way over his head because there is NO SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE. (he didn't know?)

I'll go get the link but there is a work stoppage in Tampa on Donald Trump's new condominium tower due to financial concerns.
I posted a couple of weeks ago about the work stoppage at FR. As you know Trump has held fundraisers for Crist in New York, New Jersey and in West Palm Beach.
I hope the stalled project isn't because of Crist's position on amnesty and pathway to citizenship stuff. Or, is Crist's position on amnesty to get cheap labor for Florida developers?
I'm not a construction worker but I do go to home depot (lol). If I was a construction worker I'd wonder if I was going to be replaced by cheap labor in a Crist administration.
This is the easy party: McCain endorses Crist. Arizona has cheap labor already. They don't have a secure border. Get the picture???

Day 5: The Differences that Matter
To: Gallagher Team
From: Brett Doster, Campaign manager
BREAKING NEWS: FLORIDA PRESS CONFIRMS GALLAGHER IS TRUE CONSERVATIVE - CHARLIE CRIST SUPPORTS LIBERAL SPENDING PLAN AND IS OUT OF TOUCH ON SOCIAL ISSUES
Todays briefing: As this week comes to an end, I want to thank all of you for your hard work this week. (this is an EXCERPT: language deleted re: solicitations)
Yesterday, State Representative Dennis Baxley, Representative Trey Traviesa, John Stemberger, Co -Chair of the Social Conservatives for Gallagher Steering Committee, and Bob Touchston of Florida Right to Life, participated in a statewide conference call on topics ranging from abortion and adoption to the marriage amendment and activist judges.
The Social Conservatives leaders continued to point out the differences between Tom and Charlie on these important issues and how our opponent is trying to take our party in a new direction, away from the conservative course set by Jeb Bush.
This conference call comes on the same day that the St. Petersburg Times raised serious doubts about Charlie Crists claims to consistent conservatism.
Further, the Miami Herald reported that Mr. Crist failed to properly fill out the Christian Coalition Candidate Questionnaire by refusing to answer five specific questions relating to gay civil unions, parental notification for abortions, a 24-hour waiting period before a doctor can perform an abortion, and amnesty for illegal immigrants.
You can read Toms completed Christian Coalition of Florida Candidate Questionnaire and Mr. Crists submission to the Christian Coalition of Florida by logging onto their site:

Also, Crists position on liberal spending plan is set .For Now!
WHAT THEY ARE SAYING IN THE NEWS:
DEMOCRAT: CRISTS POSITION ON ABORTION IS A SLIPPERY SLOPE In a 1998 questionnaire submitted to the St. Petersburg Times, Crist wrote, "I am pro-choice but not pro-abortion." The newspaper reported Friday that in a debate with ex-Sen. Bob Graham that year, Crist was asked if he would support a constitutional amendment banning abortion and replied, "No, I would not. I think this is a very personal decision."
Crist also does not support a repeal of the 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling, which legalized abortion, and opposes a 24-hour mandatory waiting period for women seeking abortion. He has described his position as "pro-life" in the campaign for governor.
Two state legislators and two anti-abortion activists backing Chief Financial Officer Tom Gallagher for governor said Friday that Attorney General Charlie Crist's past pro-choice positions should make Republican voters worry that he will name "activist" judges to the Florida Supreme Court.
Representative Dennis Baxley said the next governor will appoint at least two Supreme Court justices.
"How do we know he won't appoint judges who will use their power to advance liberal causes?" said Stemberger, an anti-abortion legal strategist who also heads a statewide petition campaign for a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. "I think Mr. Crist is not pro-life, by his own admission; he's a Republican in name only."

CRIST SUPPORTS LIBERAL SPENDING PLAN
In an election season rife with big promises, Charlie Crist's biggest commitment is one he spends little time discussing. The Republican frontrunner for governor wants to double spending on teacher bonuses, double the homestead exemption, lock up more criminals and cut your taxes. But his biggest-ticket promise thus far has been to end four years of GOP reluctance to fund the multibillion-dollar mandate to shrink class sizes that Florida voters approved in 2002.
That position has put him at odds with his primary opponent, Tom Gallagher, and much of the fiscally conservative wing of the party that has steadfastly argued the class-size amendment was a liberal teachers' union invention that will cripple state budgets and worsen educational outcomes.
Both of the Democrats running for governor, Jim Davis and Rod Smith, have also pledged to implement the class-size amendment by 2010. It spells out that no more than 18 students be allowed in kindergarten through third-grade classes, 22 students in fourth- through eighth-grade classes and 25 students in high school classes.
State economists have put the amendment's eight-year costs at anywhere from $12.5 billion to $28 billion. Lawmakers devoted $3.2 billion this year to class size, and a total of $7 billion over the last four years. About $1.9 billion of that was for actual classroom construction.
But all three have been mum on how they'd pay for it.

On to victory!
As one learns more about Crist, it seems that he is a creep and RINO who has managed to hide what he stands for and try to confuse the voters.
Also recently Mccain has been campaigning along with crist, this should be clear to where Crist stands on the issues.

Excerpt: What gives? Democrat Bill Heller co-hosts fundraiser for Charlie Crist
"The Buzz is reporting that one of the co-hosts at a well-attended fundraiser for Charlie Crist at the St. Petersburg mansion of Fazal Fazlin was Democratic state House 52 candidate Bill Heller."
Fazal Fazlin's mansion, huh?
What's next a Buddhist temple? Crist is so much like Al Gore...
GALLAGHER OUTLINES STEPS TO FIGHT ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION
(***FV says: Crist's Plan is to Let the Feds handle it and he said so at the Polk County debate a few weeks ago).
TALLAHASSEE Tom Gallagher, Floridas Chief Financial Officer and a candidate for the Republican nomination for Governor, today announced several initiatives relating to Floridas public safety.
Following a tour of the Port of Pensacola, Tom Gallagher held a press availability during which he pledged to create a Florida Office of Security and Preparedness, praised Governor Bush and the Florida Legislature for measures taken to strengthen Floridas port security, and outlined four steps that he would take to reduce illegal immigration.
"Illegal immigration threatens public safety and undermines respect for the rule of law, said Gallagher. While we must approach the issue of illegal immigration with compassion, Florida government must do its part to secure our borders and protect the public.
Gallagher proposed the following steps to fight illegal immigration in Florida:
1. Give Florida law enforcement officers the power to arrest and detain those who have violated federal immigration law. Florida law currently does not allow state and local law enforcement personnel to make warrantless arrests for violations of federal immigration law. This must be changed. State and local police should have the authority to address immigration violations that they come across in the course of their normal duties. For example, if a state or local policeman reasonably believes that a person has violated federal immigration law, Florida law should allow the officer to detain that person and give federal officials the opportunity to take him into custody.
To be clear, state and local law enforcement should not be required to enforce federal immigration lawwhether to do so involves their discretion and assessment of how best to use their resources. Nor should state and local officials seek to displace federal officials as the primary enforcers of immigration law. Rather, this proposal is based on the commonsense notion that state and local police should have the full legal authority they need to protect our people and to uphold the rule of law.
2. Expand Floridas anti-illegal immigration law enforcement partnership with the Department of Homeland Security. Since 2002, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement has participated in a program with the Department of Homeland Security that allows well-trained state and local law enforcement personnel to serve as immigration officers. Under this program, state and local law enforcement work in partnership with federal officials on immigration-related investigations. To date, the program has focused exclusively on immigration investigations that have a connection to domestic security and terrorism. A key success of the program was the March 2005 arrest of six illegal aliens who were performing contract maintenance work at the Crystal River Nuclear Power Plant. One of the workers had already been deported once and had re-entered the country illegally.
A Gallagher Administration would seek to expand this program to address aspects of illegal immigration that dont necessarily have a clear nexus with terrorism. For example, following the example of similar programs in Alabama and Arizona, Floridas program would be expanded to combat the use of fraudulent documents by those applying for drivers licenses and to verify the immigration status of those who are being processed into our state prisons and county jails.
3. No hiring of illegal aliens by those who contract with the government. Government needs to lead by example. It must not contribute to the problem of illegal immigration by hiring illegal immigrants or by contracting with those who do. State law should require that all public employers and all government contractors participate in the federal electronic work authorization program called Basic Pilot. Founded in 1996 and run by the Department of Homeland Security, that program enables employers to verify the employment eligibility of all job applicants.
4. Continue to work with our neighbors in Latin America and the Caribbean to encourage democracy and trade. One of the best things that can be done to stop illegal immigration into our state is to help our Caribbean and Latin American community strengthen their own economies. Through numerous trade missions and outreach, Governor Bush has taken a leadership role in promoting economic ties between Florida and her Latin American neighbors. A Gallagher Administration would build on these efforts and continue them into the future.
FV SAYS: Crist's no plan plan puts Florida at risk by deferring to the feds. A governor must have a plan on illegal immigration, not be weak! I believe that's why after the Polk County debate, the viewer center poll by www.baynews9.com showed Gallagher won the debate with 71% of the vote w/Crist at 28%.
The debates are the only time they have to explain themselves instead of schmooze little old ladies. Crist puts Florida at risk with his no plan plans. Crist is planning on relying on panels of experts too, because he is a buck passer. I want a leader, not a buck passer.
