What??? PO'ed in Lubbock? Dust, sandstorms, what???
I went to school there, must have changed a bunch. Must be all those immigrants from Slaton.
Eeekk!
"Jackson, Miss. Number 13?
We should be higher. We're all p*ssed off at our Mayor right now."
LOL!
Welcome to FR, MS Juliana;)
As a former Orlandoan, I can understand how four Florida cities got to be on the list. St. Petersburg is full of bitter old people who feel their lives have been wasted; I remember my pastor telling how several retirees do volunteer work at the church, and unlike St. Petersburg folks, they all feel happy and fulfilled. Jacksonville and Miami have notorious downtown neighborhoods that any sensible person avoids at night. About Detroit, the less said the better; that's why it was picked as the setting for the "Robocop" movies. Baltimore is probably stressed out from being too close to DC, and in the grip of liberal politicians for as long as anybody can remember. With Wilmington, it must be that tollbooth they have on Interstate 95 to catch everyone who's just passing through the state. I've never been to Memphis or St. Louis, but I understand that parts of them are pretty run-down, so they must fall in the same category as Jacksonville and Miami. I don't understand Nashville, though; shouldn't it be a rather nice place, with its reputation for music?
For those who don't live there, Orlando is the biggest surprise; it looks like I got out of there just in time. A local radio station suggested it comes from hearing Walt Disney World play "It's a Small World" 24 hours a day. Maybe so if you live around the theme parks, but one could also make a case for the Puerto Ricans, who have a large community mushrooming between Orlando & Kissimmee, and they like their music loud! However, I would say the biggest cause of stress is the traffic. All of us have been I-4 hostages at one time or another, when that highway turned into the city's biggest parking lot. Here in Lexington, KY, everybody seems to want to talk about sports, but in Orlando traffic horror stories and comments on bad weather are at least as popular, when it comes to topics of conversation. I have told folks that it took me 18 hours to drive from Orlando to Lexington, not counting the overnight stop in Georgia, and the worst part of the trip was the first 40 minutes, when I was creeping along on another notorious Orlando road, State Road 436, in 93-degree heat.
Saved from the rage!
I think they forgot about Dearborn, which is near Detroit, considered a suburb thereto, and is now part of Islamistan.
San Diego #45! No way! Listen folks, I moved from Detroit to San Diego, and lived there fr 9 years, and believe me this: San Diego is a fistfight waiting to happen. Everywhere you go, someone is angry about something!
"Yes. You want to see anger? Just watch your typical parents having to deal with their younguns on an all-day pass after they fought to park their mini-tank in that one "compact only" spot left open. Toss in 95-degree temps and 95% humidity. Why, they're ready to rip Mickey's head off by the time they leave to get back on the interstate."
You forgot the part about it costing an absolute fortune to have so much fun at the Magic Kingdom.
There ain’t much southern about FL - especially south of the panhandle.
The fact the last city to have a major race riot, Cincinnati, isn’t included tells me the author just made it up as he or she went along.
